All the best and I hope he gets home soon.

mumsamilitant · 08/08/2011 23:11

well i didnt actually think he was that brave to be honest. He gets on my nerves! lol... he has to fix things all the time! He is soo particular it drives me mad. He wants sex more than me (thats something for the last few posters), he puts tobacco all over my floor, he snores, and when i tell him not to, he does this sort of prrrr thing which is more irritating than the snore. But guess what, I love him!

I'm going to be up for a bit doing some work so I'm around for late night handholding if you need it. I'm in central London and a bit twitchy - can't imagine how horrid this must be for you.

Good luck and thinking of you, and all the other men and women out there at the moment xx

beeny · 08/08/2011 23:18

Good luck will pray for your husband

mumsamilitant · 08/08/2011 23:23

Law - my name needs changing, I dropped the other bit of it! I'm working for an entertainments review company for the summer though, so just doing that. Let me know if you want distracting or anything

mumsamilitant · 08/08/2011 23:34

blimey. Good for you! I did a city in guilds in curtain making lol.. very intricate though!

DoubleDegreeStudent · 08/08/2011 23:39

I'd love to be good at stuff like that - my mum's become obsessed with patchwork and is doing loads of textiley things. I tried to do a bit of patchwork with her but just lost patience! I'm not very good with fiddly things - I'm very jealous!

mumsamilitant · 08/08/2011 23:39

I need sort of distracting in the sense that I love the fact that women do soo good for themselves! you must be so proud! If I was you mum I would certainly be getting the banners out!

OP posts:
mumsamilitant · 08/08/2011 23:43

Oh and maybe stitching them! lol.... should i text him to see if he's ok? what do you think?

OP posts:
DoubleDegreeStudent · 08/08/2011 23:46

Text him if it makes you feel better, but remember that he probably won't be able to reply. If texting and not getting a reply will upset you more then probably better not to? If just the act of composing and sending the text will cheer you up/calm you down then I don't see why not. He's experienced enough to know when's an appropriate time to be contacting you though...

GaramMasalaGirl · 08/08/2011 23:46

Thinking of you and your brave DH and wish him a safe and speedy return home. xx

DoubleDegreeStudent · 08/08/2011 23:47

Does he know how long he'll have to be out for ?

pickgo · 08/08/2011 23:47

Yes text! ... but don't worry if he doesn't reply... he might just not have time to see it. Prayers and hand holding here too.
