He's a total alpha male of course! He sort of worries for me more than him. They stay on tour (thats what its called) for as long as they need to. anyway! you are all mums yes? so whats the last silly thing your kids said?

My friend's baby is being really sweet at the moment - she is only just starting to talk and just associates all women as being mum. Her actual mum she calls mummy, but everyone else she just holds out her arms and shouts "mum!" until they pick her up which (of course) they do.

What about you?

mumsamilitant · 09/08/2011 00:28

I text him and yes, no reply! blimey! he's busy huh!

That's ok - from his point of view it's probably better to be doing something rather than be called out and just have to stand around for a few hours and then be sent home. Obviously it would be best to have him at home, but since he's gone to the effort of being kitted up and getting there at least he is helping.

mumsamilitant · 09/08/2011 00:35

I remember when my son was a baby and he couldnt say many words and still till this day he would say.. mum, sorry to disturf you! its all so poxy and i have soo many more funny stories than this. I also remember when he was sort of coming of age and we went to marks and sparks.. i wasnt really too sure of his gender? i dont care really as long as he's happy, anyway... my mate had to take her daughter to get her first bra... My son said, mum, can we get out of here, i asked why, he said, coz my willy just went all pointy and hard! oh god i dont know why i have to say all these things, normal and funny huh!

My friend's brother got lost in a department store when he was about 5 and their mum found him stroking a bra on his cheek and saying "mmmmm silky and nice". She got him out of there pretty quickly! Disclaimer : he's now a really lovely (gorgeous) man. I do not know if he still likes silk...

mumsamilitant · 09/08/2011 00:46

We love these men because they are in such a profession which is heroic, then we cry because they do what they do. Im not sure whether I should be worried or just take it on the chin!

OP posts:
mumsamilitant · 09/08/2011 00:54

lol... he will always like silk! not a bad thing huh! At least that gorgeous man will give quality! so.. DDS how old are you? Im nearly 50.

You should be very, very proud of him. The country couldn't function without him. You're bound to be worried, but he knows what he is doing and it sounds like he loves you very much so he'll be extra careful to make sure he gets back to you as soon as he possibly can.

There's a film on channel 4 that's been going for about half an hour if you've got nothing to keep your mind busy (not sure if it's any good).

I'm going to bed but I'm sure someone else will come and keep you busy soon. Good luck, let us know how you're doing

mumsamilitant · 09/08/2011 00:58

just text again! to tell him that he needs to text me the minute he gets back!

A few years ago I was taking DS (7 years old then) to get a hair cut. We bumped into a friend who asked him what kind of style he was getting. He piped up "doggy style"

Friend sniggered and I nearly died of embarrassment. I never did work out what he meant Confused

mumsamilitant · 09/08/2011 01:07
