What would you do?

What would you do if?

You found a condom in your dh's wallet?

We very very rarely go out together, in fact i can't remember the last time. TBH i don't see a reason why he should carry one.

What are your thoughts.

that he;'s hopinh youll surprise him on a night out?
i have no idea... maybe it's been there for years?
check again in a couple of days and see if it's still there?

conundrum · 01/12/2005 22:52

Its not been there for years, its a newish wallet and i swapped everything over.

Check the "use by" date.

If you don't use condoms as your method of contraception - be worried.

Ask him. But he'd want to know why you were looking in his wallet. Why were you btw?

Do you use them?

Does he go out on his own a lot?

tbh, I don't, from what you've said, think it sounds suspicious on it's own.

conundrum · 01/12/2005 22:54

We do use them yes, the last time we went out on our own was oct 2004

OP posts:
followthestarlover · 01/12/2005 22:54

hmmm i would mark it.., but not obviously....
then check in a week or so and see if the same one is still there.
if it's a new one you'll know he's used t

i think i'd probably be kind of upset.

sparklymieow · 01/12/2005 22:54

Dh sometimes keeps on in his wallet, in case we run out so he has an emergancy one

conundrum · 01/12/2005 22:54

He goes out once a week, but has been having a few lads nights out

OP posts:
conundrum · 01/12/2005 22:55

thanks starlover, marking it now.

OP posts:
Feistybird · 01/12/2005 22:58

What about the scenario where he's out with the lads, and one of these 'groups' for safe sex, go round handing out free condoms......wouldn't be unreasonable to put it in your wallet/handbag and forget about it.

Any other suspicions?

conundrum · 01/12/2005 22:58

Not really been getting on recently, i'm sleepin on living room floor tonight.

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 01/12/2005 23:01

yes, DH went on to a car rally once and they gave out condoms.

sparklymieow · 01/12/2005 23:01

is it one of 'your' condoms or a different make??

Feistybird · 01/12/2005 23:01

Well it sounds like there's a bit more to this and you have reason to suspect anyway.....sorry, feel like I'm prying, but the condom sounds like it may be the sympton, not the cause.

conundrum · 01/12/2005 23:01

Hope that's what it is, but at the minute, he has pissed me off so much that i wouldn't be bothered if we NEVER shared a bed again.

OP posts:
SnowQueenVictoria · 01/12/2005 23:02

Well, i guess they are good for emergencies? I would ask outright or rib him about it. But i dont know what your dp is like - i only know mine IYSWIM.

i guess id be a little concerned though. (but glad of the protection)

conundrum · 01/12/2005 23:02

We have some condoms upstairs but i THINK they are in different coloured wrappers,

ie, the ones upstairs are gold and silver and this one is a blue durex one

OP posts:
Feistybird · 01/12/2005 23:03

tbh, I wouldn't say this was ground on it's own for accusations.....

conundrum · 01/12/2005 23:03

He had a go at me earlier for not washing his work clothes, shouting balling, swearing the works. That's why i'm on the floor, i'm shaking with anger, and no-one to talk to.

OP posts:
conundrum · 01/12/2005 23:04

I've marked it very very slightly, only so i know where to look and he wouldn't know, so i'll check again in a week or so.

OP posts:
SnowQueenVictoria · 01/12/2005 23:04

whats he done?

followthestarlover · 01/12/2005 23:04

oh conundrum
i really feel for you... but don't know what to say

Feistybird · 01/12/2005 23:05

well he sound like an arse - is this behaviour normal - or has he always been like this?

Feistybird · 01/12/2005 23:05

sorry, that sounded totally unsympathetic - which I'm not
