A survey has found that the best combination of children to have is two daughters.

Obviously the surveyors didn't ask my sister!!

I bet the bloody husbands aren't happy when you get three women with PMT at the same time, two of which are teenagers! Grin

lukewarmmama · 06/04/2011 13:58

excellent!

of course, I planned it that way all along...

DiscoDaisy · 06/04/2011 14:00

I have 3 daughters 15, 10 and 8. It's bloody awful at the moment with all the hormones in our house. Even my sons go and hide.
(I do love them all dearly especially at the moment with them all being at school! Grin

RandyRussian · 06/04/2011 14:00

whomovedmychocolate And the third being menopausal!

My BIL wants to go on a sabbatical Grin

My DH did a little happy dance when he found out I was expecting DS as it would 'even up the score' and 'he wouldn't be the oppressed minority anymore. Hmm Grin

oldwomaninashoe · 06/04/2011 14:15

Try sharing your life with five blokes, 1DH, and four sons its like permanently living in the DAVE channel Sad

ddubsgirl · 06/04/2011 14:41

hahahaha oldwoman i know that feeling even the bloody pets are male!

Niceguy2 · 06/04/2011 15:40

Two daughters!?!?! The only thing worse would be three daughters!

I love my DD, I really do. But teenage BOYS are just horrible vile things and I don't want them anywhere near my DD!!!!

Having two would just mean twice the worry! No thanks!

When my DS is a teenager, of course he won't be vile and when he's bagged a load of ladies, he'll be given a hearty pat on the back with "good lad!"

Me a hypocrite? Yup!

Pinkjenny · 06/04/2011 15:43

And the most satisfactory combination after that is... a boy and a girl. Thank f*ck for that

Although my BF can remain smug in the confirmation of her absolute belief that she is the chosen one as she has two girls. Not one, but two. Clever her.

gettingeasier · 06/04/2011 15:43

2 daughters ?

Just come back from parents consultation and as usual DD is the one with attitude, a big mouth and not working well.

I am thinking 2 sons...Grin

GollyHolightly · 06/04/2011 15:43

God, really??!! I have two dds and they bicker like fools most of the time. If one says it's black the other says it's white Hmm

They drive me bonkers and rarely spend time in the same room nowadays. I just hope they become friends as they grow up. They are 14 and 11, only another five years or so...

stream · 06/04/2011 15:44

I've got three and it's great. Grin Grin

I think we must have missed out on the hormones, as my house is peaceful. Confused

YouaretooniceNOT · 06/04/2011 16:25

Didn't ask my sister and me either! We haven't spoken for 5 years and she hated me before that. Wierd woman!

YouaretooniceNOT · 06/04/2011 16:26

oldwomaninashoe LOL

EvenLessNarkyPuffin · 06/04/2011 16:29

The best combination is x number of children that get on

HooverTheHamaBeads · 06/04/2011 16:29

Well I have planned that well then.

Would have loved a little boy though as well

Dozer · 06/04/2011 21:15

Me too hoover...

easycomeeasygo · 07/04/2011 22:45

give me boys anyday! I have 2 DDs 16 and 14!!!! Hmm and 2 boys 9 and 4 :) The Easter holls are upon us and i'm ready to pack my bags! :o

Anniegetyourgun · 07/04/2011 22:48

My sister and I fought like cats. Fortunately we get on fine now we're middle-aged and don't live with each other Grin

For the record, four boys are best, as long as they are the Right Sort Of Boys. Like mine, for example.

aurynne · 08/04/2011 03:55

I am 6 years older than my sister. We absolutely hated our guts until she was about 12, when we started talking about boys and confiding on each other. I don't think our house was very harmonious until then... We are the best of friends now though, and both have a great respect for one another.

tallulahxhunny · 08/04/2011 07:58

I have 2 girls.... What a bloody nightmare!!

my son is 18 my 2 girls are 7 and 6, all they do is fight from the minute they clap eyes on each other in the morning til they close their eyes at night,.son was a doddle compared to these two!

strandednomore · 08/04/2011 08:04

I have the "perfect combination" than and couldn't be happier!
But surely most of us want what we have, once we have them????

We did have to buy boy gerbils though to please dh.

belgo · 08/04/2011 08:07

agree with EvenLessNarkyPuffin!

My girls are dreadful for arguing, whereas ds is a dream.

diddl · 08/04/2011 09:48

The one thing I never wanted was 2 daughters.

I have one of each & my goodness, my son is so calm reasonable, pleasant.

My daughter otoh-......

welshbyrd · 08/04/2011 10:12

Have 2 DDs, 13yo and 2yo, and have DS 7yo

Give me a son any day
Love them all dearly, but DD2yo is driving me nuts, in fairness DD13yo, was not even half as stressful as the lil one
Nits are another nightmare with girls, ffs, my DD has been crawling with the fucking things, while DS can have their head shaved
The baby would have been an only child for sure, had I had her first
