Thoroughlyashamed · 03/11/2010 22:02

Yep I'm off to bed as well, not much input tonight as I have been catching up Smile

Not drank wine tonight & feeling really tired so I am going to try to get some sleep.

Our boiler/pump has packed in so we have no hheating Hmm

witchetychicky · 03/11/2010 22:18

Night all - kept myself busy round the house and taxiing. So thinking positively - no hangover tomorrow.
Hope your heating gets sorted soon TA and hope it's not as cold where you are as it is here.

thursoback · 04/11/2010 07:31

Morning campers,

gosh! we were a tiredy old lot last night!

I too went to bed early, and slept right through until 6.15, no waking up at 4 full of remorse. Day 7 for me.

diabolik I hope you had a good rest yesterday, and you can start a new day today feeling positive.

mouse how is your tooth? Did you get any sleep?, and I hope Nemo is rallying.

Wishing you all a calm and peaceful morning, if that's possible now that school is back!

See you later :)

witchetychicky · 04/11/2010 07:49

Morning all - crap night's sleep - awake since 4am, but not hungover which helps with the tiredness. I'm also aware that for some of you the idea of being able to sleep for 4 consecutive hours is heaven!
Hope everyone is doing Ok this morning.
Smile

venusandgunpowder · 04/11/2010 08:57

Well done witchety and TA (looking forward to your positive name change btw) and Thurso and well done to me. Sober evening all round.

Sleep may not be perfect but at least it is proper restorative sleep. The alcohol induced sleep may feel like oblivion but it is not doing as much good a proper sleep.

I have a busy day today so won't be on much till later. Have a good day on the bus everyone.

Thoroughlyashamed · 04/11/2010 09:02

Morning all - slept all night!! 10 - 6am & as thurso said, no 4am waking with "oh fuck what did I do this time"

Witchety It is very cold but nothing beats extra blankets & actually going to bed in your pj's as apposed to waking up fully dressed on the sofa freezing to death Wink

The boiler should be fixed today but it will cost what I have left in christmas money which is a bummer - £140 for a pump Shock

Hope you all have a lovely day & I am going to do what mouse suggested & treat my self to nice clean sheets again this week, it really does make bed much more appealing.

jesuswhatnext · 04/11/2010 09:24

morning everyone!!, sounds like we all deserve a round of applause!! Grin, i slept ok except for an hour or so when i layed their and mulled over world problems!!

off to meeting again today, libary for a browse, then a bit of sewing is on the cards - a nice day for me these days - previously i would have taken today, gone out for 'lunch' (got pissed), then just carried on and got more pissed, achieved nothing except upsetting either dh or dd and then passed out early in the evening - its so nice to have a day of choices planned rather than an inevitable wasted, miserable evening with me cast as the drunken lump on the sofa!

jesuswhatnext · 04/11/2010 09:25

doh!, even im not that dense!! 'there'!!! Grin

Mousefawkes · 04/11/2010 09:37

Aaaawwwnnniiinnnn

That is how I say morning. I can't talk. My face is the size of a football on one side. I have been up and down all night contemplating pulling the tooth myself and I'm starving.

Luckily, I have drinking straws in, and yoghurts and soup so that's me sorted. Hmm

No hydro or physio again as I need to get drugged up. I can't even brush my teeth. YUK!!!

Do any of you have connections with The Tooth Fairy? I'll pay her to take this tooth!!!

Help!!

desiretochange · 04/11/2010 09:53

witchetychicky · 04/11/2010 10:15

There must have been some trigger diabolik, and while it's important to look forwards it's also important to work out what happened.

desiretochange · 04/11/2010 10:15

Welcome back Diabolik,
Feeling much brighter today Mouse, Day 5 here:)

MIFLAW · 04/11/2010 10:15

It's like you're suggesting I never listen ...

I think I was trying to make a general warning (cooking with alcohol, especially spirits, can be risky) out of a specific case (I'm making a cake for someone else.) And, of course, whoever the cake is for, I bet very few of us can honestly say we never took a swig of the drink that was meant to be for culinary purposes ... so it's also quite a temptation.

Plus these threads move very fast so I don't always see all the messages.

But of course, if the cake is not for you, then it should contain whatever suits the eventual eaters. Sorry if it sounded like I was saying something different.

witchetychicky · 04/11/2010 10:15

sending soft cheese to you mouse

RedDevilMoomin · 04/11/2010 10:20

Morning all! Glad to be back and have caught up on quite a lot this morning.

How's everyone doing today? I am OK but really struggling with the news I got yesterday about my friend. How everyone's OK.
