back from my trip, and couldn't wait to get online asnd see how you are all doing. I agree that the atmosphere on this thread seems much more positive lately. Well done babes, it must have been hard this weekend with clock changes and unsetteled littl'uns.

I am delighted to say I am on day 14. Was with friends who were all enjoying plenty of drinks, but just said to them that I feel that I am drinking too much and have decided to stop for a while. Was somewhat disconcerted that they all nodded in agreement
But I stiil had a great time - loads of laughs and no horrid hangover to hide in the mornings.
Mouse I amsorry to hear about Nemo and your tooth, I hope both improve soon

Loopy I've been in contact with Christi. She is OK but has a lot to deal with at the moment.

TA I know I shouldn't laugh but the best things about my dds being older is no more threat of being roped into school activities - twas never my scene, drunk or sober.

Well done BB, on not drinking and on telling your friends. Their nodding may well have been them agreeing that they too were drinking too much. You never know what your honesty with them will prompt them to do for themselves.

Evening everyone, congrats on Day 14 BBB, good to have you back, almost at the end of Day 3 myself:) Had a shitty day today where I let everything get on top of me (one of those what's the point in it all day) but no alcohol will pass these lips this evening !!

Just a combination of shitty things at home, work, financial, bit of everything really, but am determined not to drink!

Hope your evening at home was OK. My dp has just gone to the pub but I am past the strong temptation stage this evening.

Well done on keeping strong desire. I know that for me any excuse would do to open a bottle, but a shitty day would be one of the best excuses. Remember this evening and know that you can do it at other shitty times.

Venus, yes it was quiet last night and I was in bed early after an alcohol-free evening. But that's how it is with me, one night on, one night off. So I'm determined that tonight will not continue that pattern, ie no drinking today. I may well need support later....

Diabolik, do you mean coke coke? I like what White says, the past is gone, try and look forward. No guilt, just a desire that things will be different in the future.
