Just listened, but the dryer is rumbling away and the radio is turned quite low while DS settles down, so I kept missing bits. When Brenda got home from her interview, was she saying things like she needed the loo, and wanted a piece of toast, etc etc?

Looking at that written down it sounds pretty unlikely but I thought that was what I heard ...

It does seem like a surprise pg has been foreshadowed for her, after all the chat recently about how she doesn't want to be tied down by a child just yet (when Tom clearly is quite keen to breed) ... and also the dramatic tension it would create with Helen, etc.

Can somebody tell me what's happening with Kate. I rarely manage to listen these days - just keep up with the synopsis on the website and I can't work it if she's actually announced she'd left Lukas?

I so agree, Tom is vile. Perhaps he and Helen should have some sort of freaky incestuous baby thing and implode

I am always puzzled by the fact that they all turn out to these things - we live in a village, admittedly much larger than Ambridge, but don't all feel obliged to show our faces at talent shows, roman parties, etc. Teenagers too! Jazzer! It's bad enough having to go to PTA events.

Oh no is Kate coming back (cross posts, sorry). I hate Kate. Though if she tried to have Feebs live with her that could be a fun storyline.

I was so at the kate storyline. Firstly, Felpersham Uni or whatever it is being the only place in the world Kate can study at..... Never mind South Africa, never mind the whole continent of Africa - only Felpersham will do. Secondly, she'll be nearer to Phoebe, she missed so much of her growing up, never mind the 2 kids she's leaving behind !!! They'll be fine -fast foward 10 years and she'll be upset at the clothes she has bought for the boys dont fit and how they have grown since she last saw them

I wondered if Brenda was pg a couple of weeks ago when she was saying how tired she was.

If Hayley finds out about Kate's plans, she'll be hoping that volcano goes off again bigtime. Thank goodness Kate got back to SA ,can you imagine the script rewrites that might have ensued if the timing had been different!
