All the women on the Archers are incredibly annoying. Passive agressive bloody nightmares.

The one married to David (how can I not remember her name?). She is the worst ever. So bloody shrill and her horrid kids.

I have been listening for years and years btw!
Mind you most of the men are horrible too.

But don't start dissing Ruth - she's great (especially her brief fling with Sam) and I have a bit of a soft spot for Lillian too.

I love Lilian. What happened with the crappy boyfriend? did he sleep with Annette? does Helen know? sorry, haven't listened for weeks.

What I can't understand is why all the old villains have suddenly reformed - Ed from drug addict down and out to responsible tenant farmer, Brian from roue to Phil-clone, Linda from nightmare to pussycat, Ed and Joe from crooks to comedy yokels, Matt from insider trader to the Borchester One......all to be replaced by Leon the Pantomime Baddy.

Def Leon's, which is why Annette can't bare her soul to Helen. (Personally I find Annette even more annoying than Helen. Helen seems to be dealing with the loss of Leon quite well, for her... I missed the breakup over xmas but presumably she found out he was a womanising toerag?)

Ed and Joe have always been comedy yokels - never really crooks just a bit dodgy. I'll miss Joe.

The break-up was a bit disappointing. She found him playing tonsil-tennis with some bimbo and he played the "we never said we were exclusive" card. She dropped his mobile in his drink and that was pretty much it.

Do you think that they plan to bump off Joe soon, or will he and his farmer's lung keep going until he is 100?

Perhaps this is why it is a bit dull ATM - they are building up to the send-off for Phil. Oooh, does this mean that we get Lizzy being vicious over inheritance again?

i did hope lizzie was going to drop dead before xmas, there was much talk of her overdoing it. but i suppose phil will have to be the sacrificial lamb since only one person can die a year.

Ooh Lizzy stomping her feet over the farm will be fabulous. Annette isn't going to have an abortion is she and Helen will find out she shagged Leon and realise that everyone she likes and trusts hates her.

Helen is incredibly annoying and patronising am waiting to see her reaction when she finds out about Leon and Annette as she inevitably will.

Didn't mean to be alarmist - I'm sure nothing dire is planned for Joe, but he's ancient isn't he, so I am fairly sure to outlive him and then I'll miss him.

Think he's pretty matter of fact about his mortality though, especially since the passing of his friend in Canada who's name very annoyingly escapes me.

I hope she does follow through with that actually, and that it all goes fine and she doesn't feel guilty about it at all because it was the right decision for her. They have already done the whole "woman suffers terrible guilt over abortion" story with Elizabeth years ago, haven't they? So, time to surprise everyone by showing that sometimes it is absolutely fine.

Yes but Annette is going to get so fed up with Helen wanting to take over that she's bound to spill the beans soon.

If Helen is enough of an arse to be angry at Annette for more than 5 minutes over sleeping with Leon, knowing what Leon was like and how hugely insecure Annette is anyway, and knowing that Annette is facing massive consequences as well as feeling so guilty about the betrayal ... well, that will be Helen being totally unreasonable, and Annette in an ideal world should wash her hands of that situation and absolve herself of feeling like crap about it.

But I know, I know Helen is an arse, and Annette would feel terrible so I guess it won't be that simple ... which is why we listen, after all
