All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that like George you like your steak very well done, or other unusual views.

Mulligan mostly makes me think of John Finnemore's Souvenir Show. This is good, and tenuously connected to a recent TA storyline

I see Amber's dad is trying to sound like Danny Dyer. I would have preferred him to be more like the car sales man in The Fast Show.

I came on here to post this but you have beaten me to it. Amber has painted herself into a corner though, refusing to back down with the parents when she probably now realises they were right. I suspect her mother is going to turn out to be a horrible gorgon. George deserves a vile MIL who will make him miserable. Bring on the village hall wedding with sausage rolls and cheap Prosecco.

what was that horrible kissing sound? Made me want to run for the hills. I thought there might have been a bigger story to Amber and her parents falling out than George, but maybe not.

The dad might be playing a good long game with her. Very reasonable, not challenging her, just seeming calm and happy to see her, wanting to reconcile.

It sounded as though both Amber and her mother are challenging personalities.

I never thought i'd say this but i want squealing Amber back. This one is so flat and has had a personality transplant. She hasn't mentioned her socials for ages.

It’s true the former Amber sounded distinct enough for George to notice her. This one just sounds drama school bland.

@Topofthecliffs , it won't be a village hall do. If it goes ahead it will be paid for by Swiss Daddi.

@MonkeypuzzleClimber , Perfect! DCat only ever gets the pastry, not the mincemeat part.
@MinnieBaldock, She isn't particularly fussy, but she likes some cat food more than others.
HCat will eat anything. HCat is big and chunky, and because I dislike him he is wily. His saving grace is that he looks cute. His mother is far better at handling him.

Old Amber was slightly annoying, but she was enthusiastic about life, and the things she was going to do and building up her influencer lifestyle. A bit like a very enthusiastic labrador puppy.

Now she is picking up George on his grammar and not being puppy-like at all. Meh.

I wonder why they decided Mr Gordon should have that accent. It's nothing remotely like Matthew Gravelle's normal voice.

I'd be happy if next week was just day after day of beaver sound effects, but I'm braced for bagpipes and roaring fire sound effects instead, with a lot of bickering in the foreground. Sigh.

I thought it was an alternative to I-Spy to keep everyone entertained during the interminable drive to 'somewhere in Scotland '. Must have misheard while praying for Lilian and Justin to fly up!

Wasn’t that precisely why the will stipulated all or none so that people couldn’t wiggle out of it?

The stipulations in the will have been being ignored completely for some time now.

I’m hoping, as pp suggested, that when they go to be reimbursed they get told to jog on for not following the very simple rule!!
