All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you want to hear more from Markey, or other unusual views.

They couldn't be: Meadow Rise was demolished more than ten years ago! (Yes, I know, but I noticed at the time and have been laughing a bit ever since whenever someone mentioned it as a place someone in TA could be sent to live.)

Nah … I think the very nearly ancient Snells being demonstrably in love is kinda cool and makes tolerable listening. We’ll very soon have the next lot of teens (Henry! Keira!) snogging other teens’ faces off - so I don’t mind a bit of balance.

You are wrong. As Lynda had a hairdresser cutting and highlighting her hair, she clearly takes pride in her appearance despite being old and disfigured. Good for her.

One day Emma will realise that George is in prison not at red coat at Butlins.

George must spend such a lot of time on the prison phone or speaking to Amber in person.

This is what I meant in my previous post when I asked if Amber's teeth were a distraction? We're all speculating that the procedure is going to go horribly wrong, meanwhile we have Lynda who has actually been disfigured and now we have George - grassing on someone while in prison (has he watched no prison drama??) Emma is right to be concerned. And will Amber still love him if he's not Insta perfect? Horrible storyline.

Oops just caught up. Emma protective mum, but in the past I think she had forgotten he is in prison for a crime.
now she sees what danger he is in, but is George just giving it the big-un for Amber. Can he really put the feelers out and find stuff out about Marky. Or will he get beaten up in the showers. He is a bit thick but I think he is trying also to get into Fallons good books though I don't know why as he has Amber now.

Maybe Emma will use that tooth voucher and she will die of exposed gums when attending shanked-George's funeral, and Amber will have en extra boost to her influencer career, getting loads of views flashing her brilliant white gnashers, a striking contrast to her widow's weeds.

There does seem to be an 'appearances' theme going on here - Robert still very much loves Lyndy despite her scars, Christifurr showed Fallon his scar to remind us of Susan's horror when she first saw his cleft palate, Kenton traumatised by his dog attack injuries and Amber who has changed her appearance so as to be almost unrecognisable from the girl she was at school, who places so much importance on appearances she's off to Turkey to get her teeth filed down and is trying to persuade Emma (who sees right through Amber's superficiality) to do the same.

Like old times, having a Pat versus Brian bust-up.

Absolutely! (Though where's the fun in that?) And she'd already tried that approach, without success. If anyone else could be bullied into working for her, bone-idle languorous Adam would have got the push long ago.
