Thank you, @PseudoBadger, for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads.

All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd love to spend time with Martyn Gibson, or other unusual views.

In some haste as we are going out for the day. I was asked weeks ago to put I've Killed the Vicar in as the new title but I agree with more recent comments that Peggy's funeral feels like old news now. Great line, though. Sorry not to have used Markie Malarkey, though. I've settled on something that will only make sense to people who were also youngish in the late 1970s or early 1980s. Here's a clue. If a certain person appears in tomorrow's episode the title will be relevant.

I’m following the tribunal thread and found the MC thing in knots over racism quite amusing

I do like the idea of Brian randomly handing the farm over to the least likely sprog and drifting away oblivious. Preferably with the re-purchased farm house thrown in.

Not if it is anything like the time our house got dry-rot she wouldn't. The actual work took less than a fortnight, but it was several weeks before it started.

Well one can only assume that James does love his mother and might want to be near her in her old age perhaps? Maybe Leonie would like to be near her dad too?

Maybe they visit and we don't know, like Jill apparently visited shula and vice versa numerous times before it was mentioned at one point that she had gone to stay.
It was only a random suggestion that they might buy it!
I'd far prefer that than another silent Gill type or another not silent enough buyer such as Joy.

Anyone else having Diary of a Nobody twitches about a lot of Dry Rot (pause to loosen stays else the hilarity might crack valuable ribs or indeed rupture an entirely superfluous spleen) being talked?

Do we have to worry about Vince buying it, or has he moved on from any thoughts of cricket Chairmanship…. I can’t remember if he considered moving at that time (and if so, why not) and maybe He’ll want to get Elizabeth out of that pokey lower loxley flat…..

I’ve been catching up (on the tribunal and the Archers).

I thought that when Kenton and Jolene went outside when they saw the sign on fire I could hear the drone that Ed was practicing flying. I thought we had been cued into spotting this following Mia and Amber’s exchange about the drone whilst watching the sun rise. I thought the cries of of ‘there won’t be any witnesses at this time in the morning’ was a pretty lame set up - ready for Ed’s later, shocking discovery that he captured the footage on his drone.

I came on here ready to read you giving the SWs a drubbing - instead, I am left thinking I must have imagined hearing the drone over The Bull. Or, perhaps I’ve just missed the posts discussing it 🤷‍♀️

I've given up on TA for the time being,a although I'm still following this thread in the hope it may be safe to go back in the water at some point.

But I wouldn't really have time for TA at the moment as I'm following the Tribunal live again and doing virtually nothing else all day. (Think I may have an addictive personality!) My family are in despair.

I'm absolutely gutted that I shall miss today as I am out all day seeing an old friend. It's been arranged for ages but it's a measure of my addiction that I have seriously thought of pretending to be ill so I can stay at home and follow. It's certainly beaten TA for interest and drama so far.

Yeah, I was wondering too. Might be because I didn't sleep well but I still can't see the link. I'll take the dogs out and shake up the aging brain a bit.

Bullying is the link. Amber claims Chelsea bullied her at school. Asking said Bear in mind that avoiding having anything to do with a person you suspect has accused you of bullying may itself be seen as bullying.... This appears to be what has happened in Fife. Nurse Peggie avoided using a changing room primarily for nurses which male doctor Beth (formerly Theodore) Upton had taken to using, unlike all the female doctors.
