Badger:

David is left perturbed at Brookfield when an old enemy digs for dirt, From the Radio Times. TherapistInATabard is the wit who thought of it.

(Sadly Vince Casey is in the cast list for that week.)

MikeUniformMike · 09/10/2020 19:53

Ah! Thanks Perse. I couldn't get past the one called Daisy.

Vince Casey. Another twirling moustache.

MoonJelly · 10/10/2020 09:02

Just clocked the one-liner for 20th October:

Fallon raises a difficult subject and there’s good news for Pip

Noooooooooooooooooo

MikeUniformMike · 10/10/2020 09:32

The good news for Pip might be that the treasure could fund a round the world cruise on a very slow boat for her.

Madcats · 10/10/2020 12:05

What bit of Alistair's past do we not know about already?

We've already "done" gambling and ketamine, so it is hair transplants or fertility treatment?

Maybe he's spotted Elizabeth on Tinder (there isn't too much of an age gap and he and Jim could be great father figures to the twins).

PersephonePromotesEquanimity · 10/10/2020 12:17

Oh my - Alistair and Elizabeth on an awkward date would be amazing! Grin

(Maybe he, like Nigel, might find he prefers Elizabeth to her sister.)

MikeUniformMike · 10/10/2020 13:03

Did he send nudes?

Yesterday's Mail has come to hand:

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 12th - 15th October 2020
You need to give those two no-good boyos Gavin and Phillip a very wide berth indeed. They are drowning in the sea of their own lies, and grabbing hold of anyone they think might help to stop them going down.
There is also a bit of furtive activity up at Brookfield, where the recent discovery causes a lot of heated debate and has an old enemy crawling out of the woodwork.
With all the scheming going on, Alice tries to bury the hatchet with Emma about that misunderstanding with Ed, but Emma will neither forgive nor forget. Alice would do well to remember that Horrobin blood courses through Emma’s veins, and Horrobins nurse their grudges.

#################################
Alice is married to a Horrobin, or at least someone with as much Horrobin as Emma.

MikeUniformMike · 12/10/2020 09:55

Thanks Asking. Could be a good TA week. I hope that Emmur points out to Alice that the Chrysalis has likely been poisoned.

ppeatfruit · 12/10/2020 10:16

Oooh blimey Mike that'd get Chris out of that River in Egypt. Alice does seem to have SOME idea of future problems. Though she also would like to forget it.

The 2 new ,loved up, grannies to be will be very Shock indeed

Madcats · 12/10/2020 14:11

Thanks Asking.

I wonder what Vince Casey is going to do to upset David? Presumably David has been using the abattoir for the past 6 months and would have had to have returned whatever wedding deposit there was, though I don't recall any discussion having progressed too far (a bit like the building work, really).

I think I am going to banish my family at 7pm for the next 4 evenings or delay feeding them until 7:45.

ppeatfruit · 12/10/2020 14:22

Oh yes thanks Asking I'm getting excited at the return of an almost back to normal Archers. Strange to hear Ruth again , I must admit I haven't missed her Grin

Daily Mail Weekend Magazine Archers Update 19th - 22nd October 2020
There’ll be no turning back for Philip as his plan gathers momentum - and events are slipping beyond his control.
Harrison, too, has reached a crossroads, and is faced with a daunting decision about his future.
While he ponders which path to take, they’ve already committed to a big change at Brookfield, and some of Ambridge’s other residents will have to prepare themselves for the consequences.
Elsewhere, things are looking up for Pip, and Elizabeth’s foray into the dating game sees her hitting it off with an eligible bachelor. Lily and Freddie, however, are keen to put the kibosh on their mother’s romantic exploits.

This time it's the Radio Times spoilers that I haven't yet been sent.

BoreOfWhabylon · 17/10/2020 15:25

Thanks AQATT. Looks as if things are about to get interesting on several fronts!

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 17/10/2020 15:28

They've missed Anti-Slavery Day though. www.antislaveryday.com/

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 17/10/2020 16:23

Pip, I see. Sad

Thanks, Asking!

MikeUniformMike · 18/10/2020 15:11

Is the eligible bachelor Rex? I'd prefer it to be his father.

Is Pip going to win that round the world trip on a very slow boat (Pipanic)?

MikeUniformMike · 18/10/2020 15:23

Thanks Asking. I wonder what the consequences of the changes at Brookfield will be

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 18/10/2020 19:50

Radio Times Spoilers 19th - 22nd October 2020
Elizabeth continues to date online, but when one potential suitor fails to show up, she finds herself chatting to another eligible Ambridge bachelor. However, when Lily & Freddie find out what's going on, they become concerned that their mother is going to get hurt.
In the wake of Alice's pregnancy, Fallon questions her own plans about starting a family, and faces a difficult conversation with Harrison. As both come to terms with their own desires, Harrison faces a life-changing decision.
Elsewhere, the rewilders get good news and Rex feels grateful where Pip is concerned, but a shock change of direction at Brookfield soon spells trouble.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 18/10/2020 20:43

Thanks, Asking!

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 18/10/2020 20:44

"in the wake of" suggests "when it is over", to me, but I suppose it's too much to hope for.

ppeatfruit · 19/10/2020 07:45

Asking Thank you. I wonder what will happen to the "horses" if Phil and Kirstie do a flit to Wales?

MollyButton · 19/10/2020 08:00

What eligible batchelors are there in Ambridge? Excepting those who are both too young and related to Elizabeth (eg Josh, Ben Rauiri etc).
Alastair, Jazzer, Oliver, Gavin, any others?

ppeatfruit · 19/10/2020 08:05

Alastair is about the right age and background. Ideal as a vet. IMO

That'd get up Shules' nose. Grin

MikeUniformMike · 19/10/2020 09:33

Alistair is a divorce not a bachelor, but Rex is a bachelor and nearer Frilly's age.Given the age gap between Lily and her still married boyfriend... Grin
