I don't know how she could possibly consider continuing with the pregnancy. The next delivery will be a pint of Gin.

ppeatfruit · 04/10/2020 11:30

She's in that large river in Egypt. They're hinting that she's depressed too. The therapist is good. IME they're not always so understanding.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 04/10/2020 13:52

You can see what is at twitter.com/keridavies without being on Twitter yourself; I have never been on Twitter, and I can access it.

So

What Keri Davies has said seems to be "That is the point of the story…"
with a link to twitter.com/DrBenSnowden/status/1311742664354738176
who offers a link to www.rcog.org.uk/en/patients/patient-leaflets/alcohol-and-pregnancy/

That's most recent, anyway.

I think that Bridal Bags should be a thing, and Bridal Paths and Bridalways.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 04/10/2020 14:03

Well, a Bridalway is up the aisle, I suppose, and a Bridal Path is between Bridal Shops, but how would one define a Bridal Bag? A teensy little reticule for carrying a bit of confetti in? Or a truly horrible bride?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 04/10/2020 14:46

Last week was apparently scripted by Sarah Hehir on Monday and Thursday, and Keri Davies on Tuesday and Wednesday (per his Twitter) in case anyone wants to think whether they noticed a difference between the two.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/10/2020 14:57

Thanks, Asking! Lots of voices there we haven't heard for months and months.

Forgot to thank you, Asking, for your sterling work!

BoreOfWhabylon · 05/10/2020 00:26

Thanks Asking.

I see Hooting Ruth's back. Deep joy.

ppeatfruit · 05/10/2020 10:14

Yes Perse thanks very much Asking .... very interesting that they're using that story , it's been a slow burner.

Compare with Jazzer's blythe ignorance ordering all that booze as a thank you from Jacob!

The dangers of the ubiquitous drug alcohol.

ILoveShula · 05/10/2020 12:17

My idea of a Bridal Bag was a bag that the bride could carry. There could be a variety of styles - one could be a changing bag for brides who are new mothers, a more boot bag style one for brides who wish to slip into their birkenstocks or converses when they get sick of the heels, a rucksack type for brides who are likely to make a quick getaway if they change their mind at the altar, a little clutch style for carrying the bare minimum... the possibilities are endless.

I might start designing one - my first one will be based on an aunt's bouquet, which included a U2R1 car number plate.

ppeatfruit · 07/10/2020 09:58

Now it's getting confusing [confusing]. Did the CA mean that certain parts of yesterday's had been recorded before lockdown and some had been recorded recently????? We heard Jill and Ben BEFORE???

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 07/10/2020 10:05

What he meant was that yesterday's episode was recorded five or six weeks ago, when there were fewer covid restrictions.

This is the first time we have heard Jill since March, except in repeats from other years. The episode broadcast in march was probably recorded before there was yet any suggestion of lockdown.

Ben appeared during the moanalogues, in two different weeks during June.

ppeatfruit · 08/10/2020 10:03

I do remember Ben in the moanologues. I also remember having to get back here fast (Fr.) by boat literally after the weekend of March 14 because lockdown was beginning that week in Eng.

Another week gone...

Radio Times Ambridge Diary 12th-15th October 2020
Philip comes up with a plan to save his and Gavin’s skin, just at the moment when it seems as though they’re going to drown in their own lies. But another Ambridge resident is set to get caught up in their web of deceit.
Kate’s attempts to help often lead to further friction, so we ought to be on our guard when she offers her support to Alice. Later in the week, we’ll also witness Alice trying to bury the hatchet with Emma - only to discover the latter may not be so keen to forgive and forget.
David is left perturbed at Brookfield when an old enemy digs for dirt, Elizabeth makes an impression, and Alistair opens up about his past.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/10/2020 13:27

Thanks, Asking!

Digs for dirt - reference to the Treasure? Surely Vince Casey isn't an amateur archaeologist?

No Jazzer in the cast, so I wonder who Alistair is going to open up to. Ruth and/or David, I suppose.

OP posts:
AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/10/2020 14:02

I can't think of Vince Casey as David's old enemy: he's only been in the cast five minutes. Well, all right, since August last year, and he offended David in September, but really not all that long in Archers-time.

Still, I expect you're right about that.

TherapistInATabard · 09/10/2020 14:16

I immediately thought ‘badger’ 😂

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/10/2020 14:19

Tee, as they say, hee!

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/10/2020 14:37

The Lowfield summarisers have decided to stop doing summaries, as of the end of last week, and there is now a source of summaries by someone else (starting on Monday 5th October, 2020) at ambridgereporter.org.uk/synopses/2020.html

ppeatfruit · 09/10/2020 14:37

Thanks Asking

Vince Casey (excuse me while I make vomiting noises) . Why do we need another annoying fool in TA?

Lovely scene between Jenny and Susan, I enjoyed that Grin

PersephonePromotesEquanimity · 09/10/2020 14:57

Badger!

GrinGrin

Excellent!

Thanks for updates, Asking. I'm going to assume you're the new Lowfield summariser - though it makes no difference to me as I never look there. (Have lost more than one entire weekend to random online Archers archives. Have had to Draw A Line.)

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/10/2020 15:11

Lowfield has stopped being published at Peet's board as well as on their own website, and I am not a Lowfield summariser at all, PPE, nor never have been. I did offer once, but at that point they had plenty of people doing it and didn't need me. (It went down to two at the end, and then there were none.)

MikeUniformMike · 09/10/2020 19:25

Maybe Ali & Liz get matched up on OLD.

MikeUniformMike · 09/10/2020 19:30

Thanks Asking. Badger?
