All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd like to share a camomile tea with Kate, or other unusual views.

I don't think this thread will get us to Easter, but we should be well into Lent before we need a new title. I wonder if St Stephen's will have a new oh-so-interesting Lent initiative this year. When did we last hear from Alan?

Not looking good for Lynda. Extensive burns at her age, never mind any other injuries. That's assuming she is still alive, of course.

Sounded like the "workman" was dead. We don't know if it was Gavin.

We still don’t know who the workman is. (Don’t think Freddie would know Gavin so his not recognising the man is inconclusive.)

Such a good episode, but isn't it a shame that the only really good episodes recently (at least to my mind) have been high drama? Oh, no, to be fair, some of the Jim/Jazzer/Alistair exchanges were very well done, but they weren't entire episodes.

They’re going to struggle to work “timely” Coronavirus mentions into this story line if we have a flood-esque “one day over the whole week” vibe.

They can’t kill Lynda. Surely not. But I did think we’d heard a lot from Robert recently...

I suppose even if they’d heard Gavin’s name once, they’re all in shock so it’s realistic they don’t remember it now.

No mains gas in the village where I grew up but my folks do have a gas tank which gets filled every so often.

I felt strangely underwhelmed. This is not why I listen to TA.
Dedding Lynda would be almost as wrong as dedding Nigel [sniff]

DH convinced workman not Gav. (Shame.) Can't bear it if Linda is dedded.

Freddie was great. I heard mention of Kathy silently mustering guests in the car park, so she's alive.

Also doubtful the workman was Gav.

UntamedWisteria, I think you may be right about all three of those.

The destruction of Grey Gables and Oliver having to sell Grange Farm will be quite enough "shaking" for Ambridge, I should think.

Hmm, not that impressed. How many scenes were needed with Freddie shouting for help and begging Lynda to wake up? It also seemed that a plan of Grey Gables would be needed to understand the details of the rescue.

It occurs to me that Freddie worked in the kitchens; wouldn't he have known where their fire escape was without Roy shouting in through it?
