Who's going to get Russ out of LL? Freddie? Lily? Elizabeth? Or is it Freddie who will head off?

I don't feel adequately equipped to start a new thread on The Archers but am more than happy for someone else to take my suggestion and run with it, if that's allowed - GabrielleNelson, do you fancy being Tom, Tom, the Piper's Son?

Freddie is getting very wound up. I hope that he doesn't do anything stupid.
I can imagine that he was really looking forward to release but it's not panning out the way he hoped: he's still locked up (nighttime curfew, cannot travel), forced to live with people he doesn't like (CMR), has The System checking up on / being disapproving of him (offender manager, Kate), hasn't got friends (now it's their turn to be away) hasn't got a job / focus, etc
He had a fantastic day when they went bowling but it's been a bit pants since then.

When I read the spoiler for: Lily reveals all about recent events, I thought she might tell the real reason for her not being at uni, e.g. can't pay the rent because Mr useless CMR won't get a job. But no. She is insufferable.

Agree with LassOfFyvie, since when is it Freddie's responsibility to second-guess his mother's cancelling an appointment? Glad he said exactly what he thought of him.

Thinking about his being wound up, the jam crisis is just one of the many misplaced/moved on/moved in on parts of his life that R4 describes.

Do the SWs read this thread? Suddenly Kate (on her uppers and cleaning on the side), employs a whole team to deal with the Brummie oiks, and has a free trial of a mud machine. Characteristically, she can't name the money maker in her business.

I rather thought her offer to Jill of the honour of being guinea pig in the mud machine would result in A Very Horrid Death.

I did like Peggy's phrase, "Jazzer can offer mud".

Kylie is Clive's, but he scarpered when she was only six weeks old (1989). Sharon then had an on/off relationship with John, which resulted in Johhny (1998).

I too wondered who had financed the mud room. It's difficult to believe that the Bank of Brine coughed up again.

Didn't Kate say they had it on approval? That implies that she's not had to pay for it yet, until she decides whether to keep it.

Archer finances are a complete mystery. For example Bridge Farm can afford a whole new herd of exotic French cattle with no difficulty.

Tom and Natasha however have taken out a large loan to develop and market an app. Why? What capital is needed for an app? Isn't the big thing about apps that teenage geeks developed them in their bedrooms and made fortunes out of them.

I am baffled by this app. My veg box supplier already offers the ability to customise and buy add ins via their web site. Surely Bridge Farm are playing catch up here, rather than creating something innovative which they can then sell on to other businesses? Have they done any market research?
