Archers Many thanks to @LilianGish for the title (again - she has real gift for this!). Further thanks due to @PseudoBadger for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads and to @DadDadDad for being our resident statistician and keeping the ball rolling when Pseudo stepped back a bit.

Archers All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd like to be Susan's best friend or other odd unusual views. Grin

Archers Spoilers: not on this thread, please. We don't wait for the omnibus to discuss the weeknight episodes, but we do try our best to avoid cross-contamination from //www.mumsnet.com/Talk/radio_addicts/3439443-keep-it-to-yourself-the-archers-spoilers-thread-4, where spoilers are positively welcomed!

(Change counting references arose specifically out of a nostalgic discussion on the previous thread, if anyone is intrigued.)

I’ve just sat in a parked car for 10 mins so as not to miss a beat of that. Several strange looks from neighbours...

This counts as strange behaviour? I have done this on a number of occasions, not just with TA. And evening class nights with a 19:40 start, I usually sit in the car park till TA is over.

On top of the licensing requirements Toby is going to need planning permission.

I thought Toby did get a licence of some sort - wasn't that why Pip lent him her herbal ley cattle profits?

He has a licence to process spirit with the duty paid when he buys it (I’m assuming) making spirit which then becomes liable for duty is different, I think.

He won't have a distiller's licence and aren't there all sorts of rules about bonded warehouses?

Also distilling (certainly whisky distilling, can't see why gin would be different) uses a lot of water which is abstracted from and put back into the water environment. This is regulated in Scotland by SEPA- I assume the EA does the same in England.

Therapy is a 50 minute hour and for a first consultation a lot of therapists would book an extra 30 minutes. 13 minute episode providing the 'highlights'. Lizzie's been living with the unspeakable and unsayable for a long time - I think it's very realistic that her resistance should crumble.
