Thanks to all for the dog ideas, and special mention to Ppeatfruit.

Well, quite, Bert ...

Although a BOOP for Neil trying to murder himself in the kitchen when told what would be happening to his new earnings!Grin

I wondered if Anisha leaving coupled with money worries might push Alistair back into gambling.
Re. The affordable housing - isn’t it often the case that the affordable housing attached to planning permission doesn’t necessarily have to be built in the same place as the luxury homes? So a developer builds luxury homes in central London and affordable housing in Slough - or sometimes even farther afield in a different part of the country entirely.

I think to be fair the SWs aren't deluding themselves that Neil would have earned enough to cover a house deposit - the point is that it is Susan who is deluded.

I suspect Alastair may well go back to gambling, he probably feels there is little point in holding back.

Well Anisha is leaving taking Rex.
Neil is not happy at Bertie.
So Rex and Anisha leave. Neil takes his pigs back. Hannah takes over at Berrow, until disaster strikes. Alastair sells up with Anisha, and leaves to have the kind of adventure Shula wanted.
I'm just hoping disaster at Berrow is part of "the downfall of the house of Elliot". And we lose Justin too. He's a bit boring.

I know nothing about how business partnerships work (much like the SWs perhaps) but surely Anisha can’t just walk away? She is a partner until she’s sold her partnership interest in the business? And you’d think there’d be some protection in their contract that no partner can sell to just anyone regardless of experience. She must be stuck until she can find another equine vet to buy her out.

The plot lines have been dire for a while

I find them very fragmented and bitty at the moment. Stories seem to start and then just disappear without really going anywhere.

I wish Anisha had been given more space and a chance to develop the character. That "abrasiveness" would not be noticed much if she was a man and I liked having a successful, intelligent woman added to the cast other than in connection to a man or an Archer.

I don't know why they bothered to introduce her. Like a lot of the storylines it feels like a try-out idea which they don't want to pursue.
