Happy New Year to you all.

But Knob was in the centre with baby Jack wasn't he enoch ?

TheAntiBoop · 09/01/2017 15:41

Didn't Helen turn up first though?

The way Tracey was going on I thought they were implying things had gone a lot further!!

ppeatfruit · 09/01/2017 15:47

Tracey is obviously way OTT in a lot of ways Grin Johnny's comment on her [ahem] outfit was telling.

Megatherium · 09/01/2017 16:09

I guess if Rob arrived after Helen he could have done a quick bit of valve loosening on the tyre, but it would depend no him recognising the car, and taking a massive risk that no-one would see him. It he got caught by Tom it would probably be game over for Rob.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 09/01/2017 16:44

Tom could have said to Kirsty that he was a changed man since the jilting - and as far as the listeners are concerned, that it literally true. I still remember my complete and utter disbelief that the old Tom actor was unceremonially sacked and replaced by the son of the new actor playing Tony. I hope the new editor steers away from all the nepotism we've experienced in casting decisions over the last three years.

enochroot · 09/01/2017 18:31

He was hanging around after he was supposed to have left. The rules seem to be that there is a delay so the parties don't meet.
He just happened to have a present for Henry as well as the toy for Jack and a speech springing lightly to his lips.
We don't know the time of the contact. It might have been dark by the time he left the building and you can bet your life he knows every vehicle Bridge Farm possesses.
This is the man who tracked her phone.

Gruach · 09/01/2017 19:05

Oh! Accident coming?

(Look what happened last time someone tried to take down festive decorations ...)

maras2 · 09/01/2017 19:15

OMG. Was that Jill twisting her ankle or ET learning how to speak?
Confused Grin

Gruach · 09/01/2017 19:16

BOOP for all the NHS digs.Grin

TheMortificadosDragon · 09/01/2017 20:34

Pip seems to be seeing the light re which is the better brother, anyway. Hopefully Toby rescuing Jill won't interfere too much with her growing scepticism.

Poor Jill... she was seething, wasn't she?Grin

R4 · 09/01/2017 20:58

Twelfth Night was on Friday. Those cards have been overdue for taking down for the whole weekend. Why was there such a rush to do it today?

Are we going to have a tedious 'Jill warming to Toby just as Pip cools' SL.

TheMortificadosDragon · 09/01/2017 21:18

R4 - I didn't get any sense of Jill warming to Toby, rather the reverse hating being obligated to him. Doubtless Ruth and David will pile on the YABUs though...

JigglyTuff · 09/01/2017 22:20

Did anyone else spot Anisha (or the actor who plays her) in Silent Witness this evening? I didn't think her voice was very distinctive but I was obviously wrong!

TheSecretMrsFairbrother · 09/01/2017 22:55

She was in Ordinary Lies too jiggly, I wasn't really paying attention but her voice was very distinctive.

echt · 10/01/2017 04:08

How sodding patronising was Ruth with her :"Aren't you going to say thank you"? WTF? How old does she think Jill is? If I was Jill I'd have chinned her for that.

IAmNotAUserNumber · 10/01/2017 07:35

Well that was proof of how unlucky it is to keep up the decorations after 12th night Hmm

What I found incredibly irritating last night was Pip's reaction to Rex's financial situation. This will be solved by Rex having some "ideas", and by her parents bankrolling Rex by way of deferred rent once Daddy cuts off his allowance.
Rex needs to look for an actual job and if his goose business isn't self-sustaining after 2 years he should knock it on the head; or if it remains a goer he can go to the bank with a business plan and ask for a loan.

LillianGish · 10/01/2017 08:12

There seem to be a lot of parallels going on at the moment - is Helen softening to Knob after his despicable behaviour, might Kirsty soften towards Tom after his despicable behaviour; Knob destined to live away from Myson, Tom destined to live apart from Hisson, Toby and Rex being bankrolled by their dad, Pip having her accommodation etc paid for by her parents - not exactly the same I'll grant you, but definitely a lot of comparing and contrasting going on. I found last night's shenanigans v contrived - Toby going into the farmhouse (does he have his own key or do they just leave it unlocked), Jill climbing up the shelves to take down the cards (signalled at the start of the programme) just at that very moment - I can imagine the scriptwriters meeting where they got their heads together to think up a scenario in which Toby rides to Jill's rescue I can't believe that was the best they could manage. The Jill/Toby antagonism has been overplayed from the start - is the idea that they have a rapprochement just as Pip finds out what happens in Brighton?

Minimammoth · 10/01/2017 08:13

The whole Rex and Toby financial ventures does not add up at all. When will Pip realise that she is paying for the fun weekend Toby has planned as a 'sorry ' .

BitOutOfPractice · 10/01/2017 08:23

Iamnot i agree. I wanted to shout "forget ideas. Just get a sodding job" at the radio last night. Except I didn't because I was listening on headphones at the gym

R4 · 10/01/2017 08:33

does he have his own key or do they just leave it unlocked

Of course it was unlocked. I remember the first time I took DD to her playdate with Emma, who lived at XXX Farm. We got there - a wonderful old half timbered building - but they didn't answer when we rang the bell. In the end, in desperation, I tried the door and it was unlocked. I entered and shouted hello; still no response. Then I noticed the post on the hall table ... addressed to an entirely different family.Shock We scarpered and eventually worked out that beautiful XXX Farmhouse had been sold off to wealthy incomers and the farmers actually lived in the horrible (but very practical) modern bungalow next door.Smile

R4 · 10/01/2017 09:45

I wanted to shout "forget ideas. Just get a sodding job"

It's annoying. Rex could easily get a personal trainer / rugby coach qualification and make a living off that. But this is TA so everyone has to make a living farming the land. Because that's what everybody in the countryside does.Hmm
I know some farming stock, more people working in Realty-related jobs and lots more people who have nothing to do with either. It's a bugbear of mine that TA never mentions unless sneeringly all the nothing-to-do-with-agriculture commuters who live in Borsetshire.

TheSilveryPussycat · 10/01/2017 09:49

Jill fell off some shelves, I gather?
Did she make any kind of sound? Will we be hearing, on More or Less, a calculation of the height of said shelves?

ppeatfruit · 10/01/2017 09:49

I knew someone on here would say that jill's accident was contrived, which ,of course , it was by the SWs Grin.

The cards\dex HAVE to come down by 12th night though otherwise it's bad luck for the whole of the year.

So that's effed that up then Shock (though I must admit I always have to work out if it's 12 days from xmas eve or day!) Of course the farmhouse
was unlocked Jill was IN it, or maybe Pip had left her house keys behind.

R4 · 10/01/2017 09:59

Grin silvery

ppeatfruit · 10/01/2017 10:09

That is an exaggeration R4. The Snells aren't horny handed people of the soil are they? Kirstie isn't, Woy isn't, Jim isn't. Kenton and J'lene aren't I'm sure I could go on [grin
