Ho ho ho! Will this thread last until Christmas?

OP posts:
BitOutOfPractice · 16/12/2016 07:54

You're right lottie - Kathy is Manager.

JigglyTuff · 16/12/2016 08:14

Oh yes, that's right! Thanks Lottie.

Kirsty, who knows nothing about health clubs, is now manager of that; and Kathy, who knows nothing about hotels, is manager of GG :o

EBearhug · 16/12/2016 11:17

Kirsty got work in leisure centres or something while she was absent from Ambridge, and that's how she gained the relevant experience.

Conveniently.

DadDadDad · 16/12/2016 14:08

The answer to the OP (and thanks as usual, for Pseudo keeping up these threads with 70,000 posts approaching Shock), is that this thread will easily make it until Christmas and may even make it to New Year's day - barring some earth-shattering event.

While I'm on this theme, here's a couple of graphs showing the posting rate on these threads, the first covers all 71 threads, the second focusses on the extraordinary year we've just had (spot a stabbing and a trial!). (Vertical dotted lines show the start of each calendar year).

Ah yes, had forgotten that EBear.

What splendid graphs Dad3! Why isn't there a massive October spike in the 2016 one?

TheMortificadosDragon · 16/12/2016 16:23

There is a big oct 16 spike, just not as big as the april peak

Shallishanti · 16/12/2016 16:36

I DO wish they'd stop saying what a fantastic christmas they're going to have- have they never watched EastEnders?
(predicts Dec 2016 spike)
(fab graphs DDD)

DadDadDad · 16/12/2016 17:03

April and October 2016 both go off the scale on the first graph. That's why the second graph has a different scale, so you can actually see that the trial peaked around 300, but stab-night got us closer to 1000.

In fact there was a 24 hour period starting 7pm 3rd April, when there was 1,025 posts (it just was spread over two threads).

I'm a sad geek, aren't I? Blush

TheMortificadosDragon · 16/12/2016 17:30

Yes, but you're our sad geek.

EsmesBees · 16/12/2016 19:09

I love a good chart!

So rude of Pip to announce she's not going a week before Christmas. They'd have got food in and stuff.

Gruach · 16/12/2016 19:11

Well - this looks like a spikey night!

Shallishanti · 16/12/2016 19:11

never mind Pip I'm worried about Helen now

Shallishanti · 16/12/2016 19:12

get a fucking injunction woman

Shallishanti · 16/12/2016 19:14

and go to Freedom Programme

Gruach · 16/12/2016 19:15

Do. You. Think. We. Might ...

O. M. G.

officerhinrika · 16/12/2016 19:15

Well thank goodness for that!

BoreOfWhabylon · 16/12/2016 19:18

Well, if that doesn't send her off to get an injunction and get him charged for coercive control/rape et al, nothing will

Vango · 16/12/2016 19:22

DDD I'm sure I posted a lot during your spikes!

Help me out folks. I felt very sorry for him tonight. Now forcing myself to remember he hit her and drove her nearly insane. Very well acted though!

Cinderford · 16/12/2016 19:26

What happened, what happened? I didn't listen

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 16/12/2016 19:27

Rob turned up at Bridge Farm and asked Helen if she thought at some point in the distant future she thought they could get together again. He needs hope, apparently, and is doing his best to change as a result of talking to Alan. Fortunately, Helen was having none of it.

Cinderford · 16/12/2016 19:29

Thank you, Gasp0de Smile

Vango · 16/12/2016 19:32

Rob arrived at Bridge Farm with presents (unwrapped so Helen could see what they were) for the boys. Said he'd spoken to Alan who made him understand that he needed to apologise. Sounded very contrite. Helen stood her ground. Very charged exchange. Having a lie down.

In other less interesting news, Pip has told Ruth that she's having Christmas at Rickyard with 'her boyfriend'. Ruth had a go at David, blaming him and 'his mother'.

Vango · 16/12/2016 19:33

Slow typist 😁🎄

Lancelottie · 16/12/2016 19:34

Why Ruth didn't just say 'Oh good. That'll make things easier' I'll never know.

R4 · 16/12/2016 19:35

Fortunately, Helen was having none of it.

I'm not entirely convinced. TA kept telling us how well they had researched this SL and MN keeps telling me that women need about 7 attempts before they finally break free from their abuser. She was very understanding when Rob turned up the Nativity.
Have we heard anything about the divorce recently? Is she dragging her feet.
