I can see Emma's point. But surprised no one has mentioned that George presumably gets nice days out and presents from Will as well as Emma. So he is probably not missing out really. And Keira is still young so probably doesn't notice 'missing out'.

Bit puzzled by the Felpersham pants line - the kids won't think any more of it than the village show. It would have been more realistic for Emma to want to take them to one of those (shite) pretend Lapland places.

I confess I wasn't listening properly, but i hate it when Emma talks to Ed the way I heard her talking to him tonight. Why hadn't she already booked the pantomime herself? If money is now tight why doesn't she ask Susan and Neil to gift tickets to the children?

Interesting conversation between Jess and Hellbent. I'm still cross that SO'C messed around with Ethan's paternity, though, I thought while listening that it would have been more forceful if Jess and Hellbent's babies were both the results of Robrape. I suppose I should learn to let it go, now, it's frozen in time.

When Pat kept pressing emergency provisions for the journey on Helen, I began to wonder whether Jess lived in the Highlands of Scotland or something. When Helen said it was only Hampshire, I was . That's going to be something like two hours at most, isn't it? And it's not as if there won't be several service areas, pubs etc en route.

I can see why Helen and Jess would both want to put the whole Rob thing behind them and not put themselves through the ordeal of another trial. But I wonder how they will feel when the next vulnerable woman falls into his clutches?

SO'C sacked Kathy's alter ego a while back, didn't he? 'Bout the same time as Tom sausage sizzler Archer 's alter ego was replaced by someone who'd been to drama school and was a scion of an acting dynasty. Kathy came back for a couple of episodes this time last year, or maybe two years ago, I think, didn't she, but that was it.

No, I don't think so. She used to run Archers Addicts and has wound that up, I believe, but I don't think that had anything to do with SOC. Social media was the killer there, as far as I could make out. (Disclaimer: I was never a member.) I think SOC just put Kathy on hold. The BBC website still seems to think if she ever speaks again it will be Hedli Niklaus voicing her.

Another disclaimer: I wouldn't care if I never heard Kathy again. I always found her enormously tiresome and could easily see why Kenton eventually had enough of her nagging and moaning. And that's coming from someone with a low tolerance for freeloaders and serial wastrels!

I'm not bothered that we don't hear from Kathy either. She was always very irritating. But I would like to hear from or about Jamie occasionally. I always thought he had potential to be an interesting character. I especially liked his relationship with Kenton.

I used to know the actor who played Kathy waves at Hedli - very nice woman. I hope she does have a quiet chat with Helen

Quite agree, Kathy was a whiny moaner. But she would have been there for Pat in this crisis and saga and it's a bit weird that she hasn't been heard from in about 2 years. Where's she working now? I've lost track

Kathy managed the health club before going to the golf club. She came back as an assistant manager, or did she even become manager, at GG? I think so. Lynda decided not to apply, Roy was still at LL.

Kirsty is now the health Club manager. Amazing she wasn't liaising with Kathy and K with Pat during the Helen saga.
