Ho ho ho! Will this thread last until Christmas?

OP posts:
LaLoose · 08/12/2016 19:17

Jill would never do that. She wouldn't do the melodrama. Gah...

Imbroglio · 08/12/2016 19:18

Christmas in Brighton?

EsmesBees · 08/12/2016 19:23

Thanks for the new thread.

I do think the Dopeys are handling this Pip/Toby wrong (which is in character at least..). They need to keep him as close as possible and lay off the criticism. Pip will come round and see how annoying he is soon enough.

BertrandRussell · 08/12/2016 19:26

"Rob is going to kill Alan on Christmas Day. You heard it here first.

Well, you heard it first on the other thread........

R4 · 08/12/2016 19:30

Ha ha. I liked Toebee taking the pee out of Jill.
It looks like she's having long-term memory problems - that mention of Grace was totally out of the blue. Even David did a double-take.

Rob is sounding definitely unhinged.

TheAntiBoop · 08/12/2016 19:30

That would be a sl and a half

Fink · 08/12/2016 19:33

Sounds like Blossom Hill Cottage has lost the mysterious extra bedroom!

BoreOfWhabylon · 08/12/2016 19:36

I like your thinking BertrandRussell but Mystic Bore predicts that the vicar will be needed to intercede in the hostage negotiations when Knob snatches Henwee and holes up in the church bell-tower.

Thanks as always Pseudo

PS Agree with AntiBOOP - Anisha is a beeatch.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 08/12/2016 19:39

Xmas Grin
BertrandRussell · 08/12/2016 19:40

But as I have said a tedious number of times, any storyline that does not end up with Rob being charged and convicted of coercive control and rape is an utter betrayal of abused women. And a complete waste of all that carefully researched build up.

Gherkinsmummy · 08/12/2016 19:41

Place marking. I'm not sure Alan thinks Rob is evil, more irredeemable, because to be forgiven you have to acknowledge your fault

TheAntiBoop · 08/12/2016 19:53

Didn't he end by questioning his faith in mankind?

officerhinrika · 08/12/2016 19:54

I shouted at the radio for the first time in ages tonight. David apologising to Pip and her bratty reply got right under my guard.

TheAntiBoop · 08/12/2016 19:58

Well after being irritated by pip I am now being totally irritated by the 7.45 play

EsmesBees · 08/12/2016 20:00

Last one tomorrow thankfully antiboop. It's always hit and miss this slot.

TheAntiBoop · 08/12/2016 20:02

True

Can be a bit too try hard

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 08/12/2016 20:14

I really can't stand any more Pip.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 08/12/2016 20:15

I'm not warming to Aneesha. Bit of a nippy sweetie as we say up here.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 08/12/2016 20:16

Oh boop Alan.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 08/12/2016 20:17

Oh and Toby - just fuck off.

Eastpoint · 08/12/2016 20:23

Thank you for the new thread Pseudo. Will LA later, DH can't cope with listening to TA & we were in the car together.

ColdTeaAgain · 08/12/2016 20:31

"But you'll be pleased to hear the cannabis plant are doing really well"

Sorry, couldn't help but snigger at that bit!

Rob did sound distressed but his distress is at losing control and becoming controlled himself rather than being distraught about Jack and Henry. He doesn't even realise it himself. He genuinely believes he is upset about the children. When Rob thinks he loves someone, what he is really feeling is the need to to have them as a possession. Jess, Helen, Henry, even Jack. Rob just doesn't know the difference.

BOOP for Alan for not falling for the pity party.

Girlwhowearsglasses · 08/12/2016 20:42

Acting out of character and being rude and a bit oblivious of the effects it has is a sign of early stages of dementia.

I am guessing this might be driving Jill's extreme behaviour and obsession with the distant past?

VictoriaMcdade · 08/12/2016 20:43

I may get to the stage where I switch off if Pip and Toby are on.

They are beginning to cause me actual pain.

I hates them!

TheAntiBoop · 08/12/2016 20:46

If they are the future of Brookfield I won't be listening in the future. They're both bloody awful.
