Hopefully we can go back to an ordinary tale of country folk?

Spoilers are frowned upon.... There's a thread for that.

I really liked Helen going back to see her friend, and taking the time to visit her children before. It showed a much more thoughtful side to her character.

TheAntiBoop · 02/10/2016 20:31

Wouldn't she have been away from Jack for a really long time though?

Still feel kaz is a plot device and we won't hear from her again once Helen is convinced to press charges

starsorwater · 02/10/2016 20:52

Kaz's accent is getting posher. Soon we will hear her mum calling her Kezia, and next thing we know she'll be spelling Jayden with a silent P in front.

"I'm irrationally sorry for Rob"
Rob the multiple rapist?
Bullying? Do you mean not letting him step back into his old position in the community because he is an abuser and a rapist?^ Fuck me.

starsorwater · 02/10/2016 20:59

I did say irrationally!

TheAntiBoop · 02/10/2016 21:00

Yes - it will soon turn out that kaz doesn't come from a housing estate but landed estate

JasperDamerel · 02/10/2016 21:16

And Jaydan is actually short for Jonathan Daniel, henceforth to be known as Jonty.

KingscoteStaff · 02/10/2016 21:28

Ok, so team would be Harrison, Adam, Johnny, Tom, Alastair, errrrrrr... Neville? Fairbrethren? Josh and Ben? Errrrrrrr...

What's happened to Lowfield?

LowDudgeon · 02/10/2016 21:41

what has happened to Lowfield? Sad

for various reasons I haven't yet been able to listen to Friday's or tonight's & I need Lowfield's synopsis! It's been missing for several days now

TopazRocks · 02/10/2016 21:50

2 consecutive BOOPY episodes. Wonderful. Excellent. Nothing to add. Smile

enochroot · 02/10/2016 21:57

Do we know what Kaz is in prison for and for how long?

starsorwater · 02/10/2016 22:06

Something to do with nobbling polo ponies I think.

LowDudgeon · 02/10/2016 22:13

X-posts, SarfEast

it's very provoking, isn't it? the message I was getting on my phone suggested they haven't paid their subs but it's changed again now Confused

Imbroglio · 02/10/2016 22:18

Good for Harrison. He's a keeper!

Greengager · 02/10/2016 22:24

As an aside thank goodness Kaz still has her nice middle class friend to convince her kids to eat vegetables and persuade her of the benefits of sensory play for babies!

TheAntiBoop · 02/10/2016 22:27

yes I thought that was rather patronising. Clearly lower class city kids only eat turkey twisters and chips. And get left on the fag burned carpet while their mum stands at the back door smoking a spliff

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 02/10/2016 22:31

Johnny is also now too good to be true

Johnny has always been a consistently good character , like Ian and Harrison.

For someone who thinks he's a master tactician, Rob isn't exactly doing very well.

Kaz mentioned his upcoming psych evaluation... Somehow don't think thats going to go quite according to his expectations. "Right, Ms X, lets get this tedious formality over with, let you get back to dealing with mad people like my mad lying wife, shes mad you know." (Stands to leave).

Anyway, well done the Ambridge XI.

The only addition I might have liked to that epi would have been if Shula was there with a heavy plate of nasty sandwiches to pelt Rob with.

Oh - if he is fit enough by the hunting season, presumably he hires one of Shula's? That might be another thing which doesn't go to plan.

TopazRocks · 02/10/2016 23:08

Re-Johnny, people do change with maturity. I like him and he's settled into his role. A good actor too.

I was thinking about good actors in TA, after we were all moaning about some of them. There are a fair few really. As well as actors for Helen and Rob, we have Emma, Ed, David's not bad( even if his lines are duff sometimes). Brine and JD, Phoebe. New Tom is okay, less sure about his father. Ian, Kirsty.

starsorwater · 02/10/2016 23:13

Linda never fails to brighten an episode, nor Susan either.

xmasadsboohiss · 02/10/2016 23:13

Ok so good and all as this evening's ep was I thought it was full of plot holes. For a start off cricket takes a bloody age to play doesn't it? Surely if, on some parallel universe, the team had accepted him, that would have clashed with his viewing of MySon? Also nobody makes ANY reference whatsoever to what happened in The Bull on Friday? Helen would definitely know about it as would Adam and Johnny. FFS the whole VILLAGE would know about it. Also I'm beginning to find it a bit pantomime. I think Friday's ep was plausible but I think after that Rob would lay low and work on his charm a little. As it is he's just sounding completely mad

ErrolTheDragon · 02/10/2016 23:19

Village matches are after sunday lunch, surely, so Rob could easily have seen Myson in the morning. And someone did refer to 'that stunt with Emma' or something like that.
