Hopefully we can go back to an ordinary tale of country folk?

Spoilers are frowned upon.... There's a thread for that.

Who were the blokes there? I could only identify Jazzer, who else was involved?

R4 · 30/09/2016 19:27

I do hope the story gets back to Justin.

In other news, please tell me that David is going to start charging Josh for bed and board.

TopOfTheCliff · 30/09/2016 19:30

Seal it was David

EBearhug · 30/09/2016 19:30

Emma was great. But part of me does wonder if Helen's not the only one who should be getting a restraining order. He's not going to take kindly to being shown up in from of all half term village like that.

Stickerrocks · 30/09/2016 19:32

I agree that Emma had the bit between her teeth and was determined to tell Rob exactly what she thought of him. The lads coming to her rescue was simply a way to have undeniable proof that he is a thoroughly nasty little piece of work.

WipsGlitter · 30/09/2016 19:32

Go Emma!!!!

TheAntiBoop · 30/09/2016 19:35

He genuinely thinks he did nothing wrong though

Josh is deeply annoying.

Gherkinsmummy · 30/09/2016 19:39

Rob must understand that a court order is a real thing and that he asked Emma to help him break it? Emma depends on the Archer goodwill for her living. He's completely obtuse and deluded, talking to Kenton about Helen in those terms as well.

TheAntiBoop · 30/09/2016 19:39

Good episode except for the chicken coop scene. Rex is so dull.

enochroot · 30/09/2016 19:52

He's been watching Henry, knows what he's doing and where he is then tries to get someone to bring him over to him.
I hope Emma tells Helen about that.

Minimammoth · 30/09/2016 19:57

I think he was possibly threatening her physically, as she was saying 'you dare lay a hand on me' or some such, he must have been getting close. His goose is cooked.....thank God. This won't look good, we just need Hellin to bring charges.

TheAntiBoop · 30/09/2016 20:01

My hearing of it was that he definitely went for her

Cromwell1536 · 30/09/2016 20:03

yeah, but. The fact that the men have seen Rob's true colours now means the whole shebang is out in the open! Up till now, it's been women getting the truth about him. So having the blokes intervene worked well, plot-stylee. Lurrrrvved it.

buckingfrolicks · 30/09/2016 20:03

Christ that's a weight off my shoulders.

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/09/2016 20:10

BOOP BOOP BOOP BOOP!!!

And just wait for when Emma tells Soosan - Knob will lose his only ally.

Also hope Emma tells Hellin and Pannettone about him stalking Henry and they tell Anna - surely the court will take a dim view of that?

Fiderer · 30/09/2016 20:19

"And a nation cheers" from the CA.

Grin

Only hope they're not building up to an abduction SL.

BertrandRussell · 30/09/2016 20:23

I'm still not clear about the parental responsibility thing. Is it automatically revoked now?

R4 · 30/09/2016 20:29

Rob made that funny Grr-ing noise again, like he did on the night of Custardgate. Does that confirm that he was attacking Helen that night?

EBearhug · 30/09/2016 20:30

Rob must understand that a court order is a real thing

Does he? He doesn't actually agree with the result of either court and thinks it's all a conspiracy. There have been several times over the years where he's done things that probably weren't technically legal, buy had no witnesses and mostly he's got away with it because people don't mention it, either through fear or because there's nothing concrete.

I think he was taking a punt on Emma not knowing the details of what the family court said and agreeing with him that he's been hard done by, because she saw what he's like with Henry and knows it's a safe, loving relationship (as probably the court would have without the social workers whom we never heard a squeeze from.) Plus she owes him one, because he employed her, and she must have been on his side to have agreed to that (he doesn't know how conflicted about it she has been since it was first suggested.)

EBearhug · 30/09/2016 20:32

Didn't Pat tell him earlier in the week that he wasn't to be at Bridge Farm except for contact, which doesn't include turning up very early?

Butteredparsn1ps · 30/09/2016 20:32

Loved that. Thank goodness after the episodes earlier in the week.

BOOP BOOP BOOPITY BOOP

Cherylene · 30/09/2016 20:38

Rob is physically bigger and stronger than Emma, even with his stoma and he was drunk

Missed that - must LA. Not too much beer, one hopes Hmm

EBearhug · 30/09/2016 20:53

Wasn't he drinking whiskey?

ColdTeaAgain · 30/09/2016 21:04

I don't mind the men stepping in to help Emma at all, yes she was doing very well standing up to him vocally but it did sound like he was going to push her or hit her and by all accounts he is big man. Yes she probably would of dodged him as he was sounding quite drunk but the guys couldn't exactly stand there and do nothing, it worked perfectly!

Hope we get to hear some good village gossiping next week!

Cherylene · 30/09/2016 21:04

A quick google of colostomy and alcohol gives a lot of mixed experiences. He may be lucky, or maybe not.
