Welcome one and all. No spoilers please!

OP posts:

Can someone please tell Helen to start divorce proceedings against Rob asap. The irony of him being entitled to Helen's worldly goods if she has an accident in the future.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/09/2016 17:58

I'm not sure she's got many worldly goods apart from a lot of frumpy frocks.

Stickerrocks · 15/09/2016 19:14

She may not have much, but imagine the satisfaction it would give him to take custody of what little she has. Anyway, they need to divide up the contents of the knife block, custard pan and tuna bake dishes.

EsmesBees · 15/09/2016 19:14

Awwww. Pleased for Joe. That old Ambridge miracle working fairy strikes again...

GypsyFl0ss · 15/09/2016 19:15

Oh Joe.

Tuktuktaker · 15/09/2016 19:16

What a star Oliver is! I've always liked him, you know!

Marilynsbigsister · 15/09/2016 19:19

Oh do tell...is Oliver handing over Grange Farm to Joe and his Ferrets ?

enochroot · 15/09/2016 19:19

Oliver's a saint.
Pip sounds like Helen disregarding anyone's misgivings.

Tuktuktaker · 15/09/2016 19:20

Mind you, guess who's next in the St Stephen's Graveyard Stakes (Sunday evening/Monday morning, I'm betting)?

Vango · 15/09/2016 19:24

Well that episode has put me in a right cranky mood. Toby and Pip - NO-ONE CARES, and Jo, well at the risk of being run out of town, YOU DON'T BLOODY DESERVE ANYTHING (you horrible moaning man).

TheAntiBoop · 15/09/2016 19:34

In France you can buy a house off someone on the understanding that it is yours when they die. The oldest woman in the world did this and outlived the person who bought it.

Beware Oliver!!

PatrickMcGinty · 15/09/2016 19:52

(Emerges from the gloom of Lurkdom to be blinded by the light that is TA threads)

I'm so with you Vango, the Grundys lost Grange Farm by their own ineptitude, were given it back by the Sterlings, then proceeded to trash the place while making no effort whatsoever to find anywhere else. It doesn't sound like they've been paying any rent either. Why on earth Joe thinks he should be able to guilt trip Oliver into letting them stay on is beyond me.

Mind you, my Credibility Band got stretched so far, it twanged on me - very painful!

I realise that I may have missed important nuances, having stopped listening from the stabbing until the verdict.

So sorry for having bothered yer honours (shuffles back to natural habitat leaving dirty marks on the pristine floor)

LillianGish · 15/09/2016 19:57

Giddy please don't amend your pontificating, I'm really enjoying it. Vango Shock
While I'm delighted that the Grundies are back at Grange Farm I'm finding the plot more than a little far-fetched - almost as far-fetched as the Great North Move. I can't believe it has all been settled with the words "Caroline and I have rearranged our finances" - part of me was thinking is Joe going to drop dead with delight, but then I thought I can't believe Hoo's (Who?) first major plot shocker would be to kill off Joe Grundy.

JudyCoolibar · 15/09/2016 20:03

With all this talk about affording what sounds to be a massively reduced rent, I do wish someone would sent the Grundys off to the CAB to sort out their benefit and tax credit entitlement.

Vango · 15/09/2016 20:04

Thanks for emerging to agree with me Patrick!😁

Maybe Joe and Eddie are just being very badly written at the moment but I've had enough of the world owing them a living (got fed up with Eddie's insistence last week that he deserved his 'fair share' of the pheasants)!! Putting his own son's livelihood at risk! AGAIN! 😡

JudyCoolibar · 15/09/2016 20:04

Oh, and when Pip strops at her parents, I wish they'd remind her who pays her wages and provides her with (I strongly suspect) free accommodation.

Abraiid2 · 15/09/2016 20:05

I feel sorry for Caroline. Why shouldn't she be able to do what they presumably thought was best for them originally and just sell up? They owe the Grundies nothing and Joe was a pain in the butt when they put him up at Grey Gables after the flood.

Vango · 15/09/2016 20:08

I nearly forgot about the hotel Abraiid 😠. You're absolutely right! Caroline must have the patience of a saint! It's not like they've got nowhere else to go this time.

Vango · 15/09/2016 20:14

Lillian SOC is still the Ed. Until the end of this week. He obviously wanted to do the Family Court hearing as well as the trial. Maybe he's trying to sneak in one more 'shocker' for everyone to remember him by. 😂

ibrowze · 15/09/2016 20:21

Oliver: I say Caroline I've just been doing a spot of online investigations

Caroline : oh goodness how mildly interesting Oliver

Oliver: yes I've just found a Swiss bank account of mine with £2 million pounds in. Could have sworn I'd spent it already on our last holiday

Caroline: well done Oliver let's celebrate. It won't matter now that the Grundys are reducing Grange Farm to an unhinhabitable derelict slum

chillipopcorn1 · 15/09/2016 21:17

Can I just chime in here to say I am also fed up of the Grundys. They lost the farm, then had the cheek to sue GG when Joe tripped over, had no shame in using the hotel for free after the floods and treating it disrespectfully and have now trashed O and C's house. I can't believe Oliver thinks he owes them anything!

Abraiid2 · 15/09/2016 21:18

I want to shake Eddie, Vango. Grow up. He is making me root for Will, whom I don't even like very much as he such a whiner.

Gruach · 15/09/2016 21:19

Yeah ... Deus ex Tuscany indeed.

I'd be happy for them if the Grundys weren't made to look so childlike and subject to the whim of any rich man.

Thank you for the new thread Pseudo - and you're all wonderful for still being here when my unaccustomed adventures with real life allow me a moment of return. Flowers

Thought David was funny tonight, and Pip quite right to tell her parents to keep their noses out.

Trojanhorsebox · 15/09/2016 21:25

He is making me root for Will, whom I don't even like very much as he such a whiner.

I can't stand whiney Will - I used to think he was shaping up to be a Rob-style abusive character - so possessive and territorial about Nic, not wanting her to work in the pub, keeping an eye on her when she did and warning other men off, not approving of her going out unless it was with Clarrie-luv...............However, he holds down a job and looks after his family, he's right to be angry about the poaching, especially George's involvement and he offered practical solutions to their housing problem. He settled down about Nic and also finally made up with Ed, so he's not all bad I suppose !

Timetogetup0630 · 15/09/2016 21:34

I bet Joe Grundy smells terrible.......
