Yes Gasp0de I suppose like all these things the procedure suits many families very well. It's only when an abusive psychopath is added into the mix that real problems arise. It really demonstrates how vulnerable these women (men too I guess) and their children are though.

I think Helen should start divorce proceedings tomorrow.

I just caught up with yesterday's episode. I shed a few tears at the verdict and although it was obvious when adherence went to find Off on her own she would bump into Pretyy chilling stuff. My heart was in my mouth hoping against hope he would not harm her, but of course, he's just a coward. So he threatened her instead.

I did find her reaction and not telling pat and Tony quite believable. It's going to take a while for her to get out from under his control, her pattern of submissive behaviour to Rob and his actions/words went deep and went in for a long time, so it will take a while to recover from that, and change her pattern of thinking/behaviour. but I think she will. She'll get stronger and hopefully start believing in herself and taking help from others.

Missing tonight's episode so will need to catch up later.

And BOO to the poster who mentioned that Poldark got off too. My stinky migraine yesterday had me in bed before Poldark started and that was going to be tonight's TV (after Only Connect). But I'll still watch it, just, you know, because .

I do think Rob does love Henry though, even if his idea of love is to try and toughen him up etc.

I don't think he'll do anything to harm Henry, or his chances of keeping him. If anything , he'll be on his best behaviour if he thinks he has a chance of getting the boys.

Helen needs to speak to the police and press charges against Rob for rape ASAP

Good for Pat re Rob, although she was driving me nuts fussing around Helen.

Re divorce - they've been married for a year now so Helen could petition for divorce. She has to spell out why the marriage has irretrievably broken down. That part shouldn't be hard. However, it's only if he accepts what she says that they avoid a court hearing. He is bound to want to make things as difficult as possible, especially around where the boys will live and access, so we'd better prepare for more court time soon.
