Will this thread see the end of The Trial? And SOC?

The rest of my family are going to London to watch the Tour of Britain on 11th whilst I go to work for the day. I can earn loads of brownie points encouraging them to stay that little bit longer, knowing I'll have a whole hour of screaming at the radio & chatting along with you lot to look forward too.

It sounds as though Anna now knows that Rob and Ursula were in cahoots over sending Henry to boarding school. Maybe she has evidence from the headmaster?

So Helen will finally tell Anna how Jack was conceived on Sunday? And didn't he do it a second time when she was pregnant?

It would be nice if one of Joe's ferrets could find his way into the Dower house, snuggle in the bed then bite Justin in the knackers when he's getting pally with Lillian!

I confess I am a 'fair weather poster' but I am glad that Anna seems to back on her game and actually very pleasant to her Mum. I think Justin may have others motives for employing Rob. We keep on being told how intelligent he is. But how can Rob get a new job if he is still on sick pay from the farm shop? Has he handed in his resignation?

Maybe I should get my scriptwriting application in. Though it would have to be on the basis that what I say goes, and if they get a SOC clone in as editor I get to tell him to get lost.

Or maybe I should just go for the editor slot. They haven't announced any appointment yet, have they?

No, I'm assuming they'll wait until after all the congratulations on the trial week are dying in and then announce it. SOC will want all the credit going and no distraction from people poring over the new editor's CV.

Perhaps now might be a good time to mention that at a recent BBC event Jessica Dromgoole (Home Front Editor) was asked if she would consider working on another BBC Birmingham long running drama. She was very lovely about it - but I didn't have the impression that it was uppermost in her mind. Unfortunately. So you may be in with a chance Judy ...

I am now - almost - looking forward to the trial week. At any rate it will be good to get it over with at last. I wonder if Anna - being a shl woman in this line of work - could just ask Helen if Rob ever raped her. However, what they then do with this info will be hard to bear. For Helen mostly, but other people too.

Surely Anna could not ask about rape as that would be a leading question?
