I've just browsed Lowfield for the first time - they really don't like Pat do they!

Oh, it's going to run right up to the wire.
The jury will go out to deliberate at the end of a Friday episode.

redshoeblueshoe · 31/05/2016 11:50

Well I've just read SOC starts his new job in June
And today its the 31st May Archers

EBearhug · 31/05/2016 12:24

Still means we'll have about 6 weeks of SOC-influenced scripts, though. (Not to mention is 100 year plan or whatever it is.)

PseudoBadger · 31/05/2016 12:42

DadDadDad posted a long time ago about the relevant acronym for the long awaited date - Sean OConnor's Date Of Finally Finishing - SODOFF Grin

OP posts:
cheminotte · 31/05/2016 15:03

Twas Pip and Rex commenting on Johnny not shaking Rob's hand. Toby was mysteriously (yawn) indisposed.

DadDadDad · 31/05/2016 15:15

Pseudo - that acronym never really caught on. Sad I'm glad you're giving it some recognition...

...the day it pretty much passes into obsolescence. Hmm

Gruach · 31/05/2016 16:00

Archers Archers Archers Archers Archers Archers Archers Archers Archers Archers Archers Archers Archers Archers

Here's some bunting for SOC's leaving party.

Sadly, I am far too overwrought to make a speech ...

redshoeblueshoe · 31/05/2016 16:01

OK so its just me celebrating then.
I was going to share these, but I might just keep them to myself
Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine

redshoeblueshoe · 31/05/2016 16:02

Sorry Grauch x post, you may have Wine

Gruach · 31/05/2016 16:09

Excellent! (Hic!)

Village green or cider shed? (I will not set foot in the Bull after Kenton's unforgivable betrayal of family loyalty ...)

PseudoBadger · 31/05/2016 16:18

Dad - I took a screen shot and saved it for future reference. It was much appreciated Flowers

I hope SODOFF can be worked into a thread title!

AugustaFinkNottle · 31/05/2016 16:50

I'll be celebrating when we know SOC's finally left. Very happy to break out the Wine that day.

Gruach · 31/05/2016 17:14

Well, they said late Spring. This is as late as it gets. I have a bottle in the fridge that needs finishing tonight.

I wonder if we'll notice when the new scripts start appearing. Perhaps they deliberately chose peak holiday season (around August) in the hope that only 6 people would be around to listen. Or perhaps the incoming editor will be so terrified and unprepared that they won't utter a single, guiding sound this side of Christmas.

AugustaFinkNottle · 31/05/2016 17:18

Apparently it's Keri Davies scripts for the next fortnight. Last night's was well written in terms of demonstrating Knob's cringe-making awfulness and especially for Johnny putting the boot in; but really, couldn't he have had Tom telling Knob that he doesn't get to dictate how they behave if he chooses to bring Henry to a place where he must know there's an excellent chance he'll see Helen's family?

LyndaNotLinda · 31/05/2016 17:22

Thanks for the thread Pseudo :)

Why is Lyndypops so sniffy about the jumble trail? Is she annoyed at Fallon getting all the glory?

I don't think SOC thinks the audience don't remember stuff. I think he doesn't remember stuff. He sacked the archivist and can't remember what happened last month, no matter about last year

Gruach · 31/05/2016 17:32

What I'm hoping for is a bit of artistic honesty and a respect for the intelligence of listeners - someone who'll deal with all the lacunae we have complained of (perhaps by bringing back the archivist) and who understands how to knit stories together.

Most of the SWs seem competent - but last night could surely only have been called a good story if GiddyupJohn had been mentioned by someone. And he wasn't because SOC is determined to tell a story that doesn't fit the facts.

Gruach · 31/05/2016 17:33

Typed slowly and crossed you LyndaGrin.

StVincent · 31/05/2016 17:43

She's cross because something is happening in which she is not involved.

Was it in her and Jenny's awkward chat about pheasants etc, or previously, when someone said "Isn't it great to see the younger people getting involved?" and Lyndy sniffed her sniffiest?

Same reason she's going head to head with a man who actually lost his wife in the flood in the flood-absurdam-celebratory-garden-opening competition.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 31/05/2016 17:53

Tbf it was Bert that deliverately picked the head to head. No mention whatsoever of him doing a garden opening till her heard about Lynda

Gruach · 31/05/2016 19:04

Ian's alive!!!!

GrinStarGrin

shinynewusername · 31/05/2016 19:07

WHAT ABOUT THE CULVERT, JENNIFER?

BoreOfWhabylon · 31/05/2016 19:17

Patrick's alive too!

Grin Star Grin

KingscoteStaff · 31/05/2016 19:18

Yes, how come she can remember Pavel (4? years ago) and not the CULVERT?

TopazRocks · 31/05/2016 19:20

At a glance that Bull sign looks to me like a 3rd Reich Nazi flag. Sorry.

So how's ian going to help the situation? And did he just ask his husband about Pawel? Did he say who'd mentioned him or is it just a random thought? Maybe whoever it is knows Stefan too. Poland being a small place. Not..
