I do hope Lynda has a carbon monoxide monitor in there...

For me the horror story is if bad things happen to Henry. Feeling nervous about the situation. :( Is that the first time Ursula has made it clear that she bald-faced lied to Pony?

On the bright side, I hope Henry wets the bed A Lot. Grin

glowfrog · 24/04/2016 19:49

Grumpy I can't wait for Rob to find out Kirsty effectively saved his life, HAHAHA!

I don't want Henry to wet the bed. God knows what horrific thing Rob will do to him as punishment. I feel so sorry for him - hasn't seen his mum for weeks. :-(

glowfrog · 24/04/2016 19:50

And God knows what bile about Helen will land in his ears courtesy of Daddy.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 24/04/2016 19:54

I think they wamt Henry 1) to control Hellin
2) so they can find out what Henwee will say.
Butin that case it implies that a) there is something Henry might say that would be damning for Rob and b) Rob has already told Arsula this. Unless they just want to make sure that Henwee's evidence is very damning for Hellin e.g. you heard mummy saying she'd kill daddy didn't you. There's a good boy.

AnnieNoMouse · 24/04/2016 20:00

Happy 3rd birthday to the thread and thank you to Pseudo Grin

I'm a late comer - 18 months ago just after Loxfest. I used to keep abreast of TA via NBS after being a listener in previous years - and wanted to know what was going on with Roy etc

EasyToEatTiger · 24/04/2016 20:02

I heard Henwee call his evil not-even--step-grandmother Arsula. It is awful, the total lack of communication from Arse that Henwee wanted to stay. The only reason for this kind of behaviour is to cause pain. I really don't think I could bear custardy wars. It will unravel eventually, but by which time Henry will be fit only for either a prison cell or the loony bin. I don't like that so much time was spent on the HelRob story, and then all of a sudden, it's all back to normal in Abridge. Sort of. We only get 72 mins a week of goings on in Borsetshire. There are 24 hours in a day and 7 days a week, so HR I think was overegged. A bit too much custard.

MrsArthurShappey · 24/04/2016 20:02

Ooh happy birthday everyone. Under a different guise I was first responder on the first thread #soproud

AyeAmarok · 24/04/2016 20:03

I wonder if he'll send him off to that boarding school.

R4 · 24/04/2016 20:08

I'm not entirely sure that Rob knew too much about Henry staying over - or am I wrong? Is it Arsula up to her even-worse-than-Rob tricks again?

R4 · 24/04/2016 20:12

And what is Peggy going to say when she finds out that the Titcheners have kidnapped her great-grandson.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 24/04/2016 20:13

I was on that thread too, under my first MN name, which was v. dull.

My goodness, Pat and Tony are thick, but maybe this is the wake up call the BF Archers have needed to start fighting back.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 24/04/2016 20:13

Did she not say (to Rob) we'll.see about getting his room made up.

I actually thought in that episode, if you didn't know Rob was an abusive prick who was planning on sending Henwee to boarding school, you might have felt quite sorry for him.

EasyToEatTiger · 24/04/2016 20:26

I don't think the idea of boarding school would have entered Rob's head on his own. His mother really is a pantomime witch. The Robula story is all a bit Thomas Hardy in that they are all victims of their own psychology and if anything can go wrong you bet it will. I really DON'T want to listen to child abuse on the radio. I am painfully aware of the results of CA in RL and frankly I will stop listening and get out a bit more.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 24/04/2016 20:35

I want to abase myself, everyone. Having skimread that first thread, I see I said 'We could do with a nice murder storyline in Ambridge.'

I'm deeply, deeply sorry. Blush

EasyToEatTiger · 24/04/2016 20:42

We are not in Midsommer, GaspGrin! And Inspector Morse is dead.

Limelight · 24/04/2016 20:43

Haven't psyched myself up to to listening to tonight's episode yet. One of the upsides to Knob's prolonged unconsciousness was that I didn't get that pit of the stomach lurch at 6.45pm because I might hear his voice. Possible loss of prospective on my part do we think?

I am rather desperate for the wailing and gnashing of teeth to come to an end, and the fight back to start. Come on BF Archers! And Kirsty! And everyone else who suspected that Knob was in fact a knob etc!

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 24/04/2016 20:45

In that case Gaspode I am also holding you responsible for all the JD Carole nonsense too (technically Carol is a murderer).

Gruach · 24/04/2016 20:48

I noticed a comment in the original thread about how joyful Roy and Hayley's stable marriage was - after all their troubles ... (Whichever namechanging disaster-monger wrote that should feel properly ashamed ... Grin)

One of Pseudo's early comments on that thread - regarding the SW's need to find an appropriate couple for an EA storyline is staggering in retrospect.

MrsArthurShappey · 24/04/2016 20:52

Just been reading that first thread. We were convinced Rob was gay! And that was when HWMNBN still had a name.

buckingfrolicks · 24/04/2016 20:53

does anyone think that Ursula recognises that Rob is abusing Helen? Or does she think genuinely that Helen is a nitwit and Rob needs to support/manage her? Because I have no idea!

HalsallRedux · 24/04/2016 20:56

Just browsed a bit and discovered that I too was on the first thread, under an earlier name (and no, it wasn't me who hailed the stability of Roy'n'Hayley's
doomed blessed union).

When H discovers that Henwee is back in the clutches of Knob and Granny Arsula, she'll FLIP.

LyndaNotLinda · 24/04/2016 21:20

OMG Gasp0de! It's all your fault!! Shock Angry Grin

Happy birthday us and special thanks to lovely Pseudo for her commitment to the cause.

I was on the first thread too but I change my name at least once a year in a half-hearted attempt at anonymity

Welshwabbit · 24/04/2016 21:41

Three years! Thanks for setting up this refuge for exiled MLers (a couple of whom I have recognised here) and many, many others. In other news, Pat and Tony need to wake up and smell the coffee. What did they think parental responsibility entailed? I do feel for Pat, though. She just has no idea what to do.

glowfrog · 24/04/2016 21:45

bucking I've been wondering that, too. What has Rob told her? And about what led to the stabbing that night?
