Ursula? Julia? Not too far a stretch pronunciation wise? Or irritation wise Grin

Swirlingasong · 08/04/2016 22:19

Nice idea, Blenheim, but this rubbish simply can't turn out to have come from the mind of the lovely Nigel!

MrsArthurShappey · 08/04/2016 22:24

Ursula? Oh that's disappointing. Thanks all x

R4 · 08/04/2016 23:13

When they were in court reading out the charges, did they say April 4th? So it was Monday on Sunday night, and still Monday on Monday night.

BlenheimBouquet · 08/04/2016 23:21

Well let's hope it's a week on Friday tomorrow....

EBearhug · 09/04/2016 00:27

There was something about May 5th (I'll be away, I thought.)

BlackeyedSusan · 09/04/2016 00:48

isn't may the fifth the day to elect police commissioners? need a new one in borsetshire obviously as the current one is crap.

vixsatis · 09/04/2016 06:28

In awe of the wonderful poetry!

No need for that dreadful melodramatic ending

In more convincing bits, Shula's yellow towels are absolutely in character. She would have bought them from Laura Ashley in about 1988 and used them only for guests. They probably match the curtains in the guest room. Susan keeping a copy of her interview also rang true

I wonder if in time Peggy might get the truth out of Ursula?

Is Thomas the rabbit still in the bin?

Gruach · 09/04/2016 07:27

Yes, there's great potential for the Peggy/Ursula axis. Given SOC's preference for an emphasis on the elders of the village (setting aside his failure to make anything of Jill despite repeated, valiant efforts) and assuming Brute disappears, it's highly likely that Peggy (with coven support) might turn Ursula towards the path of righteousness.

I never expected Susan to be such a cow. And it will cause ructions in her private as well as public (shop) life since Neil will clearly feel deep sympathy towards the Bridge Farm clan.

vixsatis I'm impressed with your pinpoint accuracy (you're sure to be headhunted by Space X) and can now not only see that guest room but also know exactly what Shula was wearing when she bought the towels.

careeristbitchnigel · 09/04/2016 08:27

I'm so totally bored of this story now that I am Not Listening in protest. I just don't care about it, it's too stupid and far fetched. Which is very annoying because I had really got quite invested in it and wanted to hear what happened not this crap

I can't be bothered to clear up most of the police misinformation.

When Eastenders man finally fucks off, if there is a decent editor and SWs are allowed to go back to writing believable storylines then please can someone let me know because right now there is not a character or plotline I give the tiniest toss about

Gosh I miss the days of Kate Going Missing

Gruach · 09/04/2016 08:36

It will take a while, surely, before we see any change in editorial policy. I can't imagine that SOC would not have sewn up the next six months at least (if not the full year we've been told it will take for Hel/Rob to be resolved).

Fink · 09/04/2016 08:41

Why would they set a court date so close to H's due date? Can any lawyers comment? Surely they would take that into account when setting a date or it seems like there's almost no chance they would be able to keep it.

ArgyMargy · 09/04/2016 09:08

I agree with Swirling - I've been a "dipper" for about 30 years. Now TA is ruling my life (along with these threads). Angry

BYOSnowman · 09/04/2016 09:11

I'm sure someone will remind Susan of her stint in prison in a slap down moment

Gruach · 09/04/2016 09:12

But she was boasting of it last night!

Empressa · 09/04/2016 09:17

Gives her an "in" doesn't it - "well of course when I was in prison..." Etc etc. A "legitimate" reason to gossip as she has something to share, some special viewpoint.

Gruach · 09/04/2016 09:18

The BBC, btw, has put a guidance notice on a 15 minute audio history of the Hel/Rob relationship. Apparently it:

contains some scenes which some viewers [sic] may find upsetting

Gruach · 09/04/2016 09:21

Rob and Helen, the full story.

Link

LillianGish · 09/04/2016 09:27

Susan has already mentioned her stint in prison - making sure to mention hers was a low security prison - when she suggested writing to Helen (and how nice it was to receive letters). I think Knob will die when when SOK (or possibly DOK) is born - one in one out. Wasn't Peggy's first husband an abusive drunk - before my time so I don't remember? At the moment she is thinking of Arsula as a woman with a son at death's door - just as she was not long ago. Perhaps she will start to see they have more than that in common.

careeristbitchnigel · 09/04/2016 09:27

the court date would be first hearing at mags. 5 minutes for it to be formally "sent" to Crown Court"

BYOSnowman · 09/04/2016 09:28

Surely that is out of character for her to boast about it - her character is more likely to be ashamed of it. I'm not sure they are writing Susan- just 'generic nasty gossip'

At the time she was in a bad way - that's what people should be reminding her of. Maybe Neil will.

Gruach · 09/04/2016 09:35

You're completely right BYOS.

Empressa What you say might be right for a different person but I honestly don't think it's who Susan is. Everything she has done since she came out of prison has been motivated by a desire to build a Trump high wall between that episode and her real, respectable life. We've seen her scrabbling for years to make people forget.

Not quite sure what Tim Stimpson was thinking when he wrote yesterday's scenes.

BYOSnowman · 09/04/2016 09:45

They are writing the Helen and rob story and all others need to just fit in

Totally plot driven now

cheminotte · 09/04/2016 10:16

I thought it was a lovely idea of Susan to suggest writing a letter to Helen. Maybe Pat, Tom and Kirsty could consider it too.
Or perhaps a card? (Blatant attempt to get more inspired verse).

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 09/04/2016 10:28

Dear Rob
You are one of those annoying turds
Who thinks women's lib was a myth
But it turns out your wife, like Birds
Is one not to be trifled with
