Or maybe Bruce stabbed Rob, when he stepped in between his parents.

Putthetulips - Psuedo suggested (maybe on Sunday evening ?) that SOC be invited on here. I said then we might all get banned Grin

Gherkinsmummy · 07/04/2016 10:38

Maybe they've all been stabbed, and are actually dead. Like Lost

Gherkinsmummy · 07/04/2016 10:39

It makes about as much sense

LillianGish · 07/04/2016 10:48

Recyclingbag glad you remembered the Criminal Justice series - I have been thinking of that ever since Sunday, but couldn't remember the name. I remember a long MN thread about it which coined the phrase "the significant Vaseline".
I'm hoping that after being cared for by a team of female doctors Knob will find himself with all- female prosecution team.

Fink · 07/04/2016 11:31

On a different note, I've only been around on these threads for the past few months (lightweight!), why must Darrell not be named? What's the problem with him?

HalfwayUpALadder · 07/04/2016 11:34

Long time lurker.... Having to placemark lest I lose my place again.

I wonder whether the meet up between Hellin and Jess will be seen as evidence of premeditation - they were getting their stories straight before she stabbed him...

DadDadDad · 07/04/2016 11:41

Fink - I think it was just a case of that character (notice my own inhibition saying his name!) being irritating to a lot of people, both his whiny voice ("Oh, Shula, I'm sooo sorry, I'm really sorry, I didn't want to put you to any trouble...") and his storyline. So, "HWMNBN" became a bit of an in-joke.

Boomingmarvellous · 07/04/2016 11:51

I hate the way arse and brucellosis referred to knob as having a 'bag' (a colostomy) as though it were leprosy. Plenty of normal everyday people have one and it's not the end of the world.

Also, before the stabbing knob told Hellin he hated clingy women who want him to come into their lives and take control of them, which was exactly what Hellin told jess she wanted from her school days. A strong man who would take care of her!

Be careful what you wish for ladies!

recyclingbag · 07/04/2016 11:58

I have a question.

If Helen didn't write down her case number with the helpline, surely Kirsty did and there would be a record of her call.

Also, the police concentrated on Kirsty's number being on the second phone (to imply collaboration) but obviously hasn't yet twigged that women's aid is the other number. Surely there must be a log of that call - even if it doesn't appear on he bill.

recyclingbag · 07/04/2016 11:58

Did Helen use that phone or the home phone. Either way ...

enochroot · 07/04/2016 12:30

During the calls between Kirsty and Helen on Sunday night before the stabbing Kirsty asked her if she'd called the helpline number and Helen said no, or at least didn't confirm that she had.
I got the impression that Kirsty believes Helen didn't call WA.

Recyclingbag I've been thinking of that Criminal Justice series as well. Chilling, and so well done!

Unlike like this bucket of shit! After not listening for several weeks I couldn't resist catching up with Friday and Sunday and thought well, I might as well keep going. Nope. Nope nope nope, Arse and Bruce have pissed me right off. I can't bear the way SOC's doing it. Smalllegs behind the scene bit earlier made me piss - it can't have happened any other way!

I have a feeling a previous conviction may come out, where Rob did something similar and did not get away with it. he won't have been as badly hurt but there will have been a restraining order issued or something like that. We will find something dark and dirty out about his past.

Or else Rob will have set up hidden cameras everywhere and the rozzas will find tapes of lots of things that went on and he basically will have incriminated himself. That would be my preferred option. Grin

Gherkinsmummy · 07/04/2016 12:51

If Rob had a criminal record he wouldn't have got a visa for Canada, would he? Someone I know couldn't work in the us having served time for a stupid misdemeanour.

BertrandRussell · 07/04/2016 12:56

I'm trying to work out a suitable acronym for "It doesn't matter what Rob did in the past- it won't get her off having stabbed him 3 times........"

DadDadDad · 07/04/2016 12:58

What about if Rob's misdemeanour happened in Canada, forcing him to return to UK?

ShiteRadioMelodrama · 07/04/2016 12:59

I know some countries actually ask for a criminal check from your home country police, but maybe Canada doesn't and Rob lied on his form.

Re the previous conviction, its Helen that will be on trial and not Rob. Would the Police spend their time looking into his background - I doubt it.

recyclingbag · 07/04/2016 12:59

Bertrand Maybe you'd like the new emoji to have a black cloth on its head Wink

Gherkinsmummy · 07/04/2016 13:00

Wouldn't damara have done proper background checks and followed up references?

recyclingbag · 07/04/2016 13:02

This is Polly Neate's article

"So, I hope that Helen is believed. I hope the agencies that deal with her understand domestic abuse (though last night does not bode well). And of course, I hope Helen finds a specialist domestic abuse service – because that’s where empowerment is to be found, despite funding cuts. Don’t worry, we will take every opportunity to make that case."

ShiteRadioMelodrama · 07/04/2016 13:02

Didn't Rob's employment start when Brian was on the BL board, before Berrow Farm became part of Damara's portfolio.
