Quite safe tonight. No Rob, no Ursula, no Helen. Mostly Bert and Carol. There was some Pip/Toby/Rex stuff but I let that wash over me.

Trying to remember who said Carole would come to the rescue several threads ago. Good choice of title Pseudo. Perhaps HelenluvsRob will think we've stopped gossiping about her and come back, catch up on all our posts and have the penny drop.

I don't recall Carole and Knob meeting. Bit at the one person who's never met him realising he's a knob and saving Helen when everyone else bar Kirsty/Tom/Ian thinks he's the second coming.

In RL with nothing else to do, wouldn't Hellin be on Mumsnet?

Can I ask a question? I'm not sure how Carole fits in to things with Helen. Is she a friend or relative of hers?

Have been frantically reading up on the thread to catch up on HR, don't have much time to listen at the moment and tbh don't always have the inclination, as like many others I'm finding this storyline disturbing. I want to know what happens but not to watch, iyswim!

Carol lived in Ambridge for 20 or 30 years. She was a mainstay of TA in its early years, and so was her ?second husband John Tregorran. She and her husband John moved away a long time ago when a previous editor got tired of them and she moved back after John died. She isn't an Archer but she is a close friend of all the older Archer women (except Jennifer, given that Jennifer and John had an affair, or came close to it).

I would have thought that Jill and Pat and Carol would all listen to radio 4. Thus they would listen to TA and know what was happening to Helen ...

DDD my brother who is very much a "manly man" (HGV1 driver on the continent) is a long time listener of the Archers. We often chat about it, but I haven't confessed to being on Mumsnet, so I'm not sure if he is a Mumsnetter (it would be great if he was, but somehow I think not)
