Tim Simpson? Haven't heard of him before. Can't believe I listened to that, but if I'm upset I guess it's just my fault😡😱😱

Imbroglio · 11/03/2016 19:18

Yay - they gave the advice number afterwards.... there IS help out there.

GypsyFl0ss · 11/03/2016 19:18

Poor Helen. And all the other Helens.

kippersyllabub · 11/03/2016 19:18

What just happened?

fatsatsuma · 11/03/2016 19:19

Aaaaargh [screams]. I can't bear it. I haven't posted on this thread before but I just have to express how awful this is to listen to. It's brilliantly acted and cleverly written, but it's so painful to listen to. It just gets worse and worse. How low is Knob going to drag Hellin before he is exposed and gets his comeuppance???

Putthetulipsthere · 11/03/2016 19:19

Jess, I think the fact it's on the radio makes it all the more real. Glad they gave the support number out at last

Elendon · 11/03/2016 19:22

It's not Helens fault. It's not Helens fault. It's not Helens fault.

She is the one who is trapped in the corner.

JeanPadget · 11/03/2016 19:23

I actually punched the air when she called him a bastard Blush

even though I can't forgive her for being so awful to Hayley and Pat after John died

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 11/03/2016 19:23

He crying is imo the single most abusive thing he has done.

But if he thinks a psychiatrist won't suss out what has happened he has another think coming.

bilbodog · 11/03/2016 19:28

OMG - awful to listen to! I actually get anxious at the beginning of each episode these days, but cannot stop listening. Where the hell is Kirsty?????

spiker · 11/03/2016 19:28

I don't understand how he could come back from what he said about Henry (which provoked the bastard calling)??? That seems unforgiveable.

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 11/03/2016 19:29

SmallLegs that's what I'm hoping for BUT he or his mother have shadowed her with all her MW or medical appointments. Will this be any different?

I'm quite shaken by that episode

Imbroglio · 11/03/2016 19:30

His mum will back him...

DSClarke · 11/03/2016 19:31

What happen den?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 11/03/2016 19:31

Listened tonight because I had to escape the bletherings of the ILs.
Angry Sad Angry Sad

Putthetulipsthere · 11/03/2016 19:32

It really was excruciating to listen too. I get very jittery listening these days and just wish story would start to turn a corner, instead of things just getting darker day by day 😱😱 I really will be careful which episodes I listen to from now on!

ColdTeaAgain · 11/03/2016 19:32

Him crying will make her forget all about the nasty comment about her bringing Henry into the world, that was just awful. He wanted to provoke her.

I have never hated a character so much.

I think this storyline gets to us as it is so true to life in many ways ignoring weird boarding school idea, it could be any of us. It feels like the frustration of reading an EA thread on MN, people are rarely able to get through to the OP until they are ready to see it themselves.

I don't think Helen will be leaving the house for a while.

EBearhug · 11/03/2016 19:35

I actually punched the air when she called him a bastard

So did I. Fortunately, no one was walking down the road at that point - I did stay in my parked car listening till it was over.

LeeJJ · 11/03/2016 19:37

I've listened to the Archers for over 25 years, but I'm boycotting it now: this awful, drawn-out, audio torture is making me too annoyed to bear. I'll ask my husband to tell me when the Rob & Helen saga has drawn to a close (if it ever does) and I'll resume listening thereafter. (Although he's fed up with it too.)

GruntledOne · 11/03/2016 19:38

I can't see a psychiatrist allowing either a husband or MiL to sit in on appointments. Surely he's not going to risk that?

JeanPadget · 11/03/2016 19:38

Bear, glad to know I'm not the only one! Smile

MrsCampbellBlack · 11/03/2016 19:39

Please let this be the beginning of the end.

lljkk · 11/03/2016 19:40

I enjoyed the episode... signs of a woman with a backbone. She can find it after all.

I would like something about Rob roasting on a spit in next thread title.

LeeJJ · 11/03/2016 19:40

Me too, but then what a let-down!

VinceNoirLovesHowardMoon · 11/03/2016 19:41

It's escalating. This is clearly the beginning of the end. There is a reason things have ramped up so much recently, it's coming to a head. Thank goodness.
