Not long until our thread's 3 year birthday!

It doesn't matter whether or not she actually has a fortune - what matters is if someone aiming to be in place to inherit it believes she has.

Gruach · 29/02/2016 17:05

I dunno BYOS. How much did she sell GG for? How much was the newspaper worth? What proportion of Jack's wealth went to Hazel? Was her money carefully invested?

(Thinking about it, Tom must have had at least 50k over the past handful of years - surely most of that has been converted into BF's profitably?)

Gruach · 29/02/2016 17:15

Anyone ancient enjoying Valerie Singleton on PM?

(I imagine the producers might have wished for less gruesome and upsetting news for her visit.)

Imbroglio · 29/02/2016 17:18

Rob is also hoping to get his share of his parents farm.

I can't help wondering if he's been disinherited and having Ursula coming in to be involved with looking after Helen and the baby, his nice family farm and the local church is his way of being reinstated.

I want to meet Miles!

BYOSnowman · 29/02/2016 17:42

I don't want to meet anymore of robs family and I wish the current two would bugger off

I don't think Peggy has much left tbh - jacks money went to hazel and that is a lot of what there was. I think she has enough to give her a comfortable retirement but not enough to make one of three kids and their many children and grandkids think they'll be in for a big pay out when she dies.

He may be doing it because he wants a farm but no way he's doing it for money

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 29/02/2016 19:01

Oh well clearly another Helrob sl

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 29/02/2016 19:04

Did we not say Rob wasn't the type to let a child in the bed.

ColdTeaAgain · 29/02/2016 19:05

Attention seeking Angry

enochroot · 29/02/2016 19:06

I don't think he's doing it just for a farm or just for the money but I'm sure it's a medium to long term aspiration to be well set up with a farm he can call his own and a solid lump in the bank.

Peggy is not as wealthy as she was but she can stump up the odd 10 grand as a wedding pressie and 'lend' Tom 50 grand or more without batting an eye. She also has a house to leave and that's something else Rob doesn't have.

I think she's now willed everything to Tony and the fewer people to inherit the better in Rob's view.

BYOSnowman · 29/02/2016 19:07

No she split it equally between her kids I thought? And trusted them to do with it as they saw fit.

Not listening as saw it was a Helrob episode

ColdTeaAgain · 29/02/2016 19:11

Argh why am I listening, it's infuriating AngrySad

Stickerrocks · 29/02/2016 19:12

Desperately in need of the Rob emoticon tonight. Can we add an Ursula one to the wish list as well?

sunnydayinmay · 29/02/2016 19:12

Here we go...Tom needs to leap into action.

ColdTeaAgain · 29/02/2016 19:13

Arsula is in her third week at Blossom Cottage now and no one has suggested she foxtrot oscars yet?!

Stickerrocks · 29/02/2016 19:14

Come on Tom, talk to Pat.

bakeoffcake · 29/02/2016 19:14

Can you imagine the episode where Helen's giving birth at home with the midwife, knob and knobs motherfucker in the room?

What the heck is going to happen? It's farcical!!

bakeoffcake · 29/02/2016 19:15

We need a screeeeeemmmmmmm emoticon.

sunnydayinmay · 29/02/2016 19:15

She is going to lose the baby in true East Enders style.

Stickerrocks · 29/02/2016 19:16

Didn't Tom Cruise have bizarre birthing rituals when his baby arrived? Maybe Rob has been using him as an inspiration.

BYOSnowman · 29/02/2016 19:19

So did Tom find out that rob had lied about the meat supplie?

Gruach · 29/02/2016 19:19

But Ursula can't be planning to stay until the birth? When is she going home?

I do feel rather sorry for Helen. The near future must look pretty grim.

BYOSnowman · 29/02/2016 19:20

Yes - in Scientology the mum can't scream as it needs to be lovely and calm for baby

Could explain why my kids are so temperamental I guess!!

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 29/02/2016 19:24

Looks like they are manoeuvering again to Hel is a silly billy Rob saves the day by showing her how ridiculous her plan for a homebirth is. Cue irritating laugh.

Or are they trying to make out that Ursula out manoeuvres Rob in the same way he paints H into a corner and he was actually hoping she woukd stand up to his mother for him.

Shallishanti · 29/02/2016 19:24

surely the mw will pick up on her discomfort now
and if she had previously been happy with a hospital birth, she will surely want to explore why the change of mind, esp in the light of her history

ColdTeaAgain · 29/02/2016 19:25

I think Ursula is here for the longhaul.

Just putting myself in Helens shoes for a minute....a homebirth she doesn't want or feel is a safe option for her, with two birthing partners, both of which she is scared of and one who she doesn't even want to be there full stop. I would be utterly terrified Sad

What will Pat say when she hears about Ursula being there for the birth? Was Pat with her for Henry?
