Come on Kirsty!

OP posts:
LurkonTAthread · 12/02/2016 19:17

What was the word Henwy didn't know? Kettle boiled...

Northernlurker · 12/02/2016 19:17

That was pretty chilling.

Maybe Henry will tell his teacher? And teacher might just think - 'hang on - mum of child looked scared to death when dad showed up...'

birdsdestiny · 12/02/2016 19:18

Was the word obedient? Dh came in and rustled bags so i missed the bloody word. Obviously i am leaving him.

BoreOfWhabylon · 12/02/2016 19:18

It is all coming to pass as the Crystal Ball predicted!

Ursula will move in to 'help' so that the Mad Madonna can 'rest'

U will wear a high-necked black silk dress and a severe expression at all times. She will sit in a high-backed chair crocheting baby clothes. She will wear the house keys attached to her belt by a silver chain. She will be accompanied by her faithful rottweiler.

She will start feeding her charge raw liver sandwiches to 'keep her strength up'

H will be wakened at night by the faint sound of chanting somewhere in the house - only to be told that she has dreamt it.

There will be a terrible storm on the night of the birth. The midwife and ambulance will be unable to get through.

Ursula will prepare to deliver the Chosen One...

EBearhug · 12/02/2016 19:19

Aaarrrggggghhhhh!

Don't most 5yos know that obedient means doing what you're told and not being naughty?

I am assuming that Ursula will be expecting obedience too, and we're going to be told how Rob was brought up, so can't help it?

BoreOfWhabylon · 12/02/2016 19:20

Yes, was 'obedient'

"Then let me explain it to you"

Chilling

Shallishanti · 12/02/2016 19:21

surely not
too crude

NettleTea · 12/02/2016 19:24

of course - Ursula will be the guardian, making sure Helen cant go out and Henry sits in silence at all times, like the Obedient One
Visitors will be turned away
Phones will be taken
Lets hope that this FINALLY causes Pat into a showdown - usurped by Ursula as chief grandmother

Shallishanti · 12/02/2016 19:24

not sure I would expect a 5 year old to know the word actually-
naughty, yes but not obedient - in fact I'd have questions about a family that used the word re children- it's dogs that should be obedient

GypsyFl0ss · 12/02/2016 19:26

Bore you truly have the gift Grin

NettleTea · 12/02/2016 19:34

its interesting that the actress who is playing Ursula shares the name of the actress who played Morticia Addams

NettleTea · 12/02/2016 19:36

and also the same name as a previous scriptwriter

BoreOfWhabylon · 12/02/2016 19:36

Grin Gypsy

SuffolkNWhat · 12/02/2016 19:40

Just asked DD (aged 6) if she knew what obedient meant. She thinks it had something to do with beads.

GypsyFl0ss · 12/02/2016 19:42

Love it Suffolk...I think it sounds like Knob needs a word with your DD too Smile

EBearhug · 12/02/2016 19:48

That's a R4 upbringing that is. Uxbridge English Dictionary entry.

GruntledOne · 12/02/2016 19:53

Poor Henry, he's going to have the world's most dreadful half term. I also feel very sorry for Helen, the prospect of a week with two wardens, one of whom you hardly know, watching your every move must be an utter nightmare. Ursula will probably make a note of every morsel she eats and listen outside the loo door to make sure she's not throwing it up again.

Interesting that Tom very deliberately made sure he could call in when he knew Knob wouldn't be there. Let's hope he's at last making some connections - and that he particularly noted that Helen said it was a long time since she'd had a laugh at anything.

EBearhug · 12/02/2016 19:56

And that means Tom and Kirsty might talk, too.

Fingers crossed.

Stickerrocks · 12/02/2016 20:12

So now Henry has to be obedient at the same time as not keeping any secrets from Rob. I have a horrible feeling he is going to be told to call Ursula Grandmother (loving the black silk image). Hopefully that will put Pat's nose out of joint and start to trigger alarm bells. The chances of Tom staging a full-on sausage rebellion look more promising at the moment though.

AnnieNoMouse · 12/02/2016 20:13

Please don't let this be leading to a child sex abuse story - they wouldn't would they? Hmm

spiker · 12/02/2016 20:14

Has Ursula just been on the once? Maybe twice?? I didn't catch much but I had the impression when she surprise-visited Hellin that it had gone OK and H quite liked her (i noted Knob was pissed off). Or have I got false memory??

BYOSnowman · 12/02/2016 20:16

I really hope there is no physical abuse of Henry on top of the emotional abuse

I don't think I can bear to listen to a child being abused. It's hard enough listening to him abusing his wife

spiker · 12/02/2016 20:18

Bore - that link was very useful, thank you. I am trying to find an actual drawn out family tree so I can check how people are related (just occasionally...honest). please God don't make me have to draw it up myself as then I will have Crossed A Line

enochroot · 12/02/2016 20:21

That made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. TA hasn't had that effect on me since Nigel's scream.

Tom must be particularly dim not to have begun joining the dots by now but I suppose he's going to eventually fight for his sausages, not his sister.

The last time Ursula (Mrs Danvers) appeared Rob didn't seem all that pleased to see her.

spiker · 12/02/2016 20:25

Did Hellin actually like Ursula??

Although that's not quite the same as having MIL who you've only met once stay with you a week when she seems to have been sent to spy on you. Bet she's instructed by Knob to keep henwee away from H.
