I disagree about Jenny not allowing ciggies in the house - I reckon she'll have smoked alongside FagAsh Lil for at least part of her youth and even adulthood, she's from that generation. And I'm sure Brian smokes cigars, if nothing else, in the house, after a good meal.

Maybe they couldn't afford loads of tickets, Abraid? Steam railways are quite pricey and 3 adults and a child ticket would add up. Also what about Phoebe etc.

Quick report in from today's (first) midwife appointment, in the interest of checking Archers verisimilitude:

Black pudding fine (tho midwife Jewish and unfamiliar so had to check)
Directly asked "are you being abused?", "have you ever been abused?" and "are you in an abusive relationship?".
No specific question about ED but asked if I had any mental health problems.
No cross references to any of my medical references so they took everything I said on trust. Including my weight- they didn't weigh me and I didn't take my baggy coat off till they did bloods at the end.
