I don't think Helen would ever go in a charity shop, and Knob would not want her to.

Rob knows Helen can't get to a charity shop, so he knows he can suggest it with no fear of her being seen in one.

He knows she won't go, so he can exert even more control over her. Tom missed a brilliant opportunity to remind Knob that it's their shop and they'll ask for his opinions if they want them.

If she's got nothing to wear that fits and meets Rob's definition of modest attire, she can't leave the house. Too low cut? For the love of goodness. I can't imagine she was going to wear something like one of Barbara Windsor's cast offs from a Carry On film.

So she's got to live in her pj's and we all know that means she can't do the school run or anything else for that matter

It was another horrible episode to listen to. I also thought that Fallon was insensitive to Emma, who she must realise lacks confidence.

I wonder what Rob would do if by some miracle Helen does manage to get to a charity shop and buys something? Because that would obviously be wrong too, but how?

I hope she goes to a charity shop where she

• finds some really brassy maternity gear (in lovely colours)
• runs into Stefan who also works there now and tells her about the culvet
• she is served by Anya (?) Who used to work in AO and tells her about Rob pissing about with stock.

In the changing rooms she runs into whatshername the MW who thinks she looks a bit undernourished, asks her what is wrong and hands her the number for WA.

In the meantime while she is out the accountants justin got in to wind up Berrow discover Rob has been cooking the books.

Agree with Gherkin about the inconsistency with Helen being a 'Queen' and charity shops. Realise I am deluded if I expect consistency from Knob, but still…. not really buying that one. A step too far by the SWs IMHO.

They could go to the charity shops together, my daughters and I LOVE them, you can get good stuff (you have to look carefully in the right area of course) at a third of the price of new stuff. The new stuff is crap now anyway unless you pay big money .

Takes effort though, to look carefully in the right places. And Hellin gets so terribly tired...

School is in nearby village of Loxley Barratt. School bus picks up in Ambridge, I think, but not from every house.
