I suspect it was not atrip injury at all.... A bit like the proverbial cupboard door.

bastard.

helen seems incapable of saying anything that disagrees with rob and the bastard has weedled his way into the shop planning.

telling her to do the school uniform, a task suitable for a woman... taking the task away from tom.. will he pull another stunt with the builders like like hiring the useless manager at organics?

I reckon Helen got the bruise from the puppet strings that Rob seems to delight in operating in front of Tom.

What am I missing with Rob and Tom. 2 weeks ago Tom was quite cagey about letting Rob come to the meeting and now he is letting him outvote him (!) and basically run the project? It does not seem quite right somehow. Although Rob making a thorough hash of the shop will be quite gratifying.

I could re-visit the first ever thread.

Why is Helen Allowing This To Happen?

FFS Helen - He's just a controlling knob. If he carries on just kick him in the nuts. Don't start sounding so downtrodden

The (new) Cook, the Thief (of Bridge Farm's brilliant future), His Wife and Her Mother (or Brother, or Anyone Who Can Get the Better of Him) ... ?

Or something snappy about An (Upcycled) China Shop in The Bull. ?

Just catching up on the thread and it's nearly over - haven't heard tonight's yet but am still chilled fromThursday's... I listened to it with my parents and sister as we were all sitting down for dinner and my mans I insisted on a respectful silence while we listened... Cue awkward / yuk silence after that 'Rob?!'

I can't believe that Pat didn't pick up anything was amiss, or that she thought it was ok to be so rude to Jim.

There was a conversation between Pat and Tom after the consultants first came in, where Tom was going on about how Rob had actually been quite helpful.

It's either poor characterisation (surely not?!) or it's the eggshells surrounding Helen that no one must step on.
It could also be that Tom is no longer as confident as he once was after his little jilting incident.
And of course the whole family worships people with astute business brains such as Peggy, and now Rob.

Was it my imagination or was there something v pointed in Helen's tone when she talked to Knob about "pinning down the builders".
