Is Ed's wedding very soon?

OP posts:
BitOutOfPractice · 10/05/2015 13:27

Ah! The sinkhole!

Is there a culvert diagram or map or infographic?

toldmywrath · 10/05/2015 13:38

"Makes me worry we aren't going to see the back of her for some time although one of those shirtless hotties might " -ooh Merse you naughty thing!
Also respect to whoever put Pip in oestrus & yes I believe she was catching not crutching.

toldmywrath · 10/05/2015 13:56

Culvertigo -BOOP indeed as all this talk is making us dizzy! Culvertgate as well.

Did anyone else hear a remark made to Linda about petty larceny at the end of the May Fayre (Fair?)? Was it she who stole the c*!%ing bunting & so no need for Harrison to go a-hunting?

BitOutOfPractice · 10/05/2015 13:58

I think that was referring to the missing May Queen crown

Bluestocking · 10/05/2015 16:12

I listened to the film this morning to get the full benefit of Very Tall Rachel the Culvert Queen. My, that was some unusual radio acting, wasn't it?

There'd better be a proper resolution and denouement (pronounced in best Lyndipops manner) to all this culvert nonsense.

ZeroFunDame · 10/05/2015 16:28

Bluestocking by "unusual" I'm guessing you mean either "recorded at the finishing line after a particularly arduous marathon" or "recorded while receiving some particularly erm beneficial massage"?

Or perhaps the air is very thin where her fictional head is?

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 10/05/2015 17:13

I have missed Tall Rachel
Not sure I can bear to listen to the film again

BitOutOfPractice · 10/05/2015 17:23

I think the best line of the week was Lynda's about dressed salmon, as demonstrated here by the brilliant AmbridgeSynthetics twitter feed

Loving the Plarchers Grin

I've been thinkng - if there is to be a rapprochement between the Brothers Grundy then I feel the least SOC should do is give us a falling out with decades of rancour aftermath between the Fairbrethren.

ZeroFunDame · 10/05/2015 19:07

Awkward ...

Doc Locke and Alistair are so funny together.

enochroot · 10/05/2015 19:11

Oooooooh!

MrsCampbellBlack · 10/05/2015 19:12

The whole Rob thing is becoming a bit like murder on the Orient Express - everyone has a motive to hate him.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 10/05/2015 19:14

Yes! Especially when they were left together

Yawn some conversation though.

Kinda weird to invite the man you dumped your boyfriend for round for dinner with your husband - who happens to be that boyfriend. And then for him to raise 'it hasn't all been plain sailing for you and Shula' wtf. Do people actually behave like that and not react to those comments?

enochroot · 10/05/2015 19:15

But no one talks about him! (We would in our village!)

minkGrundy · 10/05/2015 19:16

TA clearly have no idea how relationships work. Ed and Will. Alistair and Doc Locke.

Rob, creepy.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 10/05/2015 19:16

Well that little warning from joe spells disaster ahead for ed

LillianGish · 10/05/2015 20:23

Sure enough, Knob threatening Ed. Too late though - the cat's out of the bag. I think that's all the confirmation we need that it was Knob who blocked the culvert.

Eastpoint · 10/05/2015 22:55

Rob is so horrible, just listening now.

Bluestocking · 10/05/2015 23:42

Good point, Zero, perhaps Whatsisname from Hull was under Very Tall Rachel's desk.
There's no way the Grundy brothers can ever be reconciled. Or David and Kenton, at this rate. Do the Fairbrethren know what they're getting into? Ambridge, the village where brothers hate each other.

ErrolTheDragon · 10/05/2015 23:52

GrinPlarchers is genius. I see there's an @MumsnetTowers referred to therein...

Merse · 11/05/2015 11:15

toldmywrath - glad at least someone noticed my smutty comment. Clearly need to get out more. Seriously thought, they are so over-doing it with her - sounds like a dog on heat.

Another one with culvertigo here.

Merse · 11/05/2015 11:16

seriously though, even….

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 11/05/2015 11:22

A lot of the writing lacks subtlety

Rob is turning into a stereotype. I almost expect to find he was using the culvert to drown kittens

Lilymaid · 11/05/2015 11:24

I almost expect to find he was using the culvert to drown kittens
So that's what happened to Scriff1
