I'm not sure that ferrets cannot through a thumb sized hole - rats can, and mice can fit through a pen sized hole. But I know the SWs will have researched such a statement carefully Easter Wink

Ed would be a whistleblower surely

Weird episode. Not sure why

Kenton is a knobber

Why has Mia got wills surname? I thought they had a good relationship with their dad?

enochroot · 04/05/2015 19:54

Just before Charlie started to clear the culvert in which he nearly drowned I'm sure he said something about that particular culvert being Rob's responsibility.

I so want the culvert story to rebound on Rob.

LillianGish · 04/05/2015 20:12

Please can someone with a long memory remind me of the Robin Fairbrother/Elizabeth Archer link. I feel Sock is about to come over all EE again with old flames turning up all over the place.
Totally with you enoch over Knob's culvert involvement.

ZeroFunDame · 04/05/2015 20:19

It's all here Lillian.

I seem to have missed the whole thing at the time.

PseudoBadger · 04/05/2015 20:33

Oh I need to catch up. But it all seems a bit yawnsome?
I need title inspiration!

Bluestocking · 04/05/2015 20:37

When's the wedding? Should the new thread have a wedding theme title?
I did think we should have a Fifty Shades of Chilli title but that's not topical.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 04/05/2015 20:40

Ever lived within 50 miles of Ambridge or know someone who has? Roll up, roll up, a juicy part awaits you

LillianGish · 04/05/2015 21:22

Culvert skullduggery is Knob up to his neck in it? Is the culvert inspector tall enough to oversee the inquiry? Come and discuss drains, ditches and other leaky storylines ....

ZeroFunDame · 04/05/2015 21:43

Gather ye Fairbrethren and fairsistren; the May queen has been crowned, now we have the wedding dance. Change partners please!

ZeroFunDame · 04/05/2015 21:48

Hang on ... Jess is still married so is her baby's name Ethan Titchener?

If so he's sure to end up living in Ambridge eventually.Grin

ragged · 04/05/2015 21:49

Come and discuss Pip's brains, culverts and other leaky storylines ....

Close to perfect.

BitOutOfPractice · 04/05/2015 21:57

Just please put the word "archers" in the title! (zero I know you always do!)

Bluestocking · 04/05/2015 22:07

I do not get the Fairbrethren thing at all, not one little bit. They're going to rent Ed's bit of estate land and grow geese? Are they retired pop stars like Alex Cheesey James? Or friends of Jamie Oliver's like that chap with the pigs?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/05/2015 23:10

They'll turn up on Ocado and in Waitrose before you know it. I've noticed that lots of the posh stuff there has a brand name that is the founder's real name and it always makes me feel that when I see it I'm suppose to exclaim 'Oh look, Miranda's brothers Rex and Toby have got their food business off the ground at last! You remember, darling, they've both had enough of Goldman Sachs so they've gone into business instead. Looks like they didn't go for importing olives from that dear little place in Portugal in the end, though - "Rex and Toby Fairbrother Posh Poultry" - shall we get a duck for the weekend, darling, they're an absolute snip at £50 each?'

ErrolTheDragon · 04/05/2015 23:18

I wonder if the fairbrethrens' father will reappear. After all it's only fair lizzie should get a second go at an illicit old flame too.

ZeroFunDame · 04/05/2015 23:25

Re Rex - according to the blog

He gave up the rugby after sustaining an injury ...

Don't know if it's the same everywhere but on my phone his TA photograph has no head ...Confused

Hakluyt · 04/05/2015 23:30

Deeply disconcerting to see David as the Home Secretary on the telly. You would have thought he could have used his political clout to stop Route B.......

ZeroFunDame · 04/05/2015 23:33

Errol I've been thinking about him too! He must be about 61? And he was, back then, a wine importer. Perhaps he's a little young to have had any romantic liaisons with Carol but I imagine they knew each other in Ambridge and might have continued some sort of wine importing based acquaintanceship.

dairyfarmerswife · 05/05/2015 08:00

Grr just lost a reply somehow, but basically FIVE POUNDS for a burger without cheese?!!!!

And someone please tell Kenton it's his own fault he's on a mess.

And finally, anyone else disappointed that Jill didn't 'oh' when David told her who Rex was Grin

Minimammoth · 05/05/2015 08:19

I am totally lost, attempted to catch up but obv. missed lots. I feel ther is a lot of plots just drifting around not going anywhere.
Clueless of Borsetshire.

MyFeatheryHat · 05/05/2015 08:48

DH would like me to point out that when unblocking the culvert, Charlie mentioned feed bags and a piece of corrugated iron. The mysterious corrugated iron was later mentioned by Ed.
Two mentions? Unless it has specific relevance then why mention it?
:o

RocknRollNerd · 05/05/2015 09:01

Do we think the crack in Auntie Chris' floor is indeed the Ambridge Hellmouth starting to appear?

I'm getting extremely fed up with all this referencing of the past and bringing back old characters (or spawn of old characters). The dialogue they need to explain who they are is clunky and if you have to do a blog to explain it then you're not writing scripts properly.

Bluestocking · 05/05/2015 09:05

The corrugated iron will turn out to have been the roof of the shantytown style shack that HWMNBN built himself on the outskirts of Ambridge. The feedbags were his bedding.

MyFeatheryHat · 05/05/2015 09:59

"Auntie Chris's crack" :o

ppeatfruit · 05/05/2015 10:04

A shame Rachel wasn't at the Mayday fete, she could 've collected Mia's crown [ahem] hubcap, from the pond without needing to be hung on to by Nicky ,nice to hear Nicky and Mia again though.
