I'm not sure that ferrets cannot through a thumb sized hole - rats can, and mice can fit through a pen sized hole. But I know the SWs will have researched such a statement carefully Easter Wink

Ooh a nice love triangle with two brothers, that would be exciting, I can't imagine how that would pan out... Is George 8 or 9 now?

LillianGish · 02/05/2015 07:48

I think Pip will come back from her foreign posting as a man (she already sounds like one at times) and have an affair with Charlie.

LillianGish · 02/05/2015 07:53

Another EE twist would be if Shula got back together with Richard Lock who could then have an affair with Usha. The rejected Alistair could then get together with Elizabeth and Shula could have an affair with the vicar.

Lillian - whenever I feel it might be time to give up on TA (Shock) I'll remember that I have to wait for the transgender-Pip story.

You have saved my relationship with Ambridge.Grin

Love the idea of transgender Pip. Her international farming Gap Yah will be a cover for a year in Thailand undergoing gender reassignment surgery. I can only dream of the Ooooh Noooo! (Ruth) and the Oh!!! (Jill) we'd hear on The Return of the Prodigal Manpip.

DoctorTwo · 02/05/2015 09:49

Roared at The Return of the Prodigal Manpip :o :o :o

ppeatfruit · 02/05/2015 09:49

Steady I reckon that Lilian's actress is the same woman just acting 'flat', as you say, because there are inflexions in her voice that are the same.

If your clothes have got mould on them wouldn't a good soak in very hot water and white vinegar do the trick? Or if they're not washable or soakable then a toothbrush with them on it would work (well it works for me!).

If Pip was transgender wouldn't there have been a hint in her character before? DS had a friend at school whose baby brother used to play in girl's clothes and put a vest on his head (to pretend to have long hair) form age 2 Grin He has now become a she.

Icimoi · 02/05/2015 10:07

Just thinking about abandoned storylines like the one about the putative murder of John Tregorran. What happened about the Tuckers' move to Brum? And presumably Moike is still doing the milk round, so where's he getting his milk from these days?

LillianGish · 02/05/2015 10:20

ppeat I think we are working on the basis that with Enderisation hints are now optional. Bluestocking - I was also also thinking of Thailand for Pip's gap yah so maybe Ruth's mention that the company she wants to work for has operations everywhere was hint enough Grin.

LillianGish · 02/05/2015 10:29

Icimoi I suppose with all the unfinished storylines we should be grateful we got the result of the paternity test at all.
Just had another EE plot thought. Wasn't Hazel Woolley the adopted daughter of Jick? If so Justin Elliot will probably turn out to be her real father.

Merse · 02/05/2015 10:52

Just chipping in to say I am really enjoying the thread this morning. Motoring on in v. v. amusing fashion. Thanks to all.

As you were…..

Steadycampaign · 02/05/2015 13:18

Thank you ppeat! So glad it is the same Lillian! One of the best female actresses in the line-up imho.

[double-take at transgender Pip]

Bluestocking · 02/05/2015 13:22

It shows what a great radio actress Sunny Ormonde is. Poor Lillian is unrecognisable, so flat and defeated. I hope things start to go her way again soon, I miss the old irrepressible Pusscat.

Steadycampaign · 02/05/2015 13:24

Hear hear Bluestocking!

minkGrundy · 02/05/2015 13:41

Yup we definitely need to get tiger in the the EastArchers Christmas special episide.

Icimoi · 03/05/2015 10:50

There was a surprising amount of scenes of Deavid preparing food this week, suddenly. Is it a coincidence that we've recently been discussing the issue of a dearth of male characters who cook, or proof positive that the SWs read this?

ppeatfruit · 03/05/2015 13:35

Icimoi Great minds think alike ! I noticed David and Ruth mentioning his cooking, of course it could go on but no one is listening ALL the time Grin.

toldmywrath · 03/05/2015 14:15

What's that saying about squeezing something until the Pipsqueak? I thought of that when transgendered Pip was brought into the equation Grin

LillianGish · 03/05/2015 20:18

Where is everyone? Is it just me or did Rachel the flood woman sound exactly like Pip? Do we think Knob blocked the culvert which is why he was so sure Berrow Farm would be OK? And which culvert did Charlie break his leg trying to unblock? I'm finding this all this drainage very confusing.

Merse · 03/05/2015 20:26

I agree with Lilian. Also suffering from culvert confusion. However am confident the dear SWs will spell it out niiiiiiice and clearly over the next few weeks to make sure we are all up to speed.

Also agree that flood woman sounded Pip-esque.

My favourite bit of tonight's episode was JD trying to pretend she didn't like her new moniker as the 'Boudicca of Borsetshire'.

ZeroFunDame · 03/05/2015 20:48

"She's very tall, isn't she?"Confused

Please God let that be the start of an important plot. Because otherwise I will never be able to fathom why it needed saying ...

Must say between Pip's breathier, taller twin and the finer points of culvert management my attention may have wandered a little this evening. There seemed to be lots of sighing and indignation over nothing at all.

LillianGish · 03/05/2015 21:18

Perhaps there will be a vital clue to the blocked culvert hidden in a high place at Berrow a Farm which she will be able to spot due to her great height. Or perhaps it is a qualification for the job - in case she has to wade into deep water. Grin I was equally bemused by that comment Zero.

Eastpoint · 04/05/2015 06:01

The comment did seem very odd. I am worried that talking about the culvert being blocked will result in Ed being fired/sued for breach of contract and ending up even poorer than before.
