I'm not sure that ferrets cannot through a thumb sized hole - rats can, and mice can fit through a pen sized hole. But I know the SWs will have researched such a statement carefully Easter Wink

I heart Jolene in the Plarchers! What set did that figure come in I wonder I don't recall such scantily clad ladies when DS had Playmobil... Shock. I have a Playmobil Luther arriving this month, I'm very excited (in my defence I studied History of German at University and am massively geeky about the language!). I actually have two coming as it was a flat rate postage for up to 10, DH has observed that the spare will come in handy next time he need to nail a tiny plastic theses to a door! Grin

Jill's reading at the church left me cold, I can't bear Christina Rosetti in any case (never has something sucked the joy out of Christmas like In the Bleak Midwinter). I don't like the way they do these meaningful episodes when the cast get to remind everyone that they are actually ACTORS by doing a reading, it doesn't fit in with the rest of the show and always feel jarring, especially given TA is on Radio 4 and there are plenty of much better readings and such like to comemorate significant events/days.

New thread! Loving the title :) DadDadDad, I was still interested, am I an audience of one?

Not marking my place at all, oh no.

There are lies, damn lies & statistics. Welcome back dad3 & your pithy comments.
Thanks for the new thread, good title.
I misunderstood Errol's comment I don't suppose there was a coded message in Eddie beating a sock to death, was there? I thought of something rather rude & not to do with Soc(k) at all. Blush

Hello and thanks for the new thread!
HPet's accent is fine but the newHP is awfully annoying. She sounds like a younger actress playing "old" iyswim.

Wasn't Usha taught to cook by Aunty Satya at some point? Possibly to help woo Alan. In any case, she probably works as many hours as Alan, and he was on his own with just his daughter for years before Usha came, so you'd think he'd be quite capable of cooking for himself.

I am listening to Part Two of Fanny and Alexander on R3. The husband is what Rob would become if left unrestrained. Sheer, unbelievable cruelty under a relentless onslaught of darling and you're overwrought and I must take care of you. It is terrifying listening.

Just catching up with the thread. (Can't sleep!)

Listened to the film today and I'm finding the meetings very boring, but I'd swap any number of meetings if I didn't have to listen to the new Heatherpet. I absolutely detest her and the sooner they find her a nice sheltered spot the better. Under a big tree would do. I see Mrs Brown in my head every time she appears. The old HP had a lovely gentle voice which didn't irritate me even though I didn't care about the character.
Enough of the caricatures, soc!

The milk bottle mystery was resolved as they used to run an outdoor dairy. Weren't they resourceful in the old days. My dad planted a hedge. Dead dad is talking to me through the cow medium. I can't leave Ambridge. I am the steward of this land. I am Ambridge.

Kenton fury.

This has probably been suggested before (I have got behind on episodes and the threads)but it seems pretty clear to me that Kenton and jolene, and now fallon, are going to get investment from Justin Elliot. I wonder whether Lilian might sell her share of the bull to him

I thought Alan was extolling the praises of the lamb tagine as Usha is a vegetarian so he doesn't eat meat at home.

The Elliot / Bull axis is a very interesting idea.

Perhaps the stranger offering Fallon investment is an emissary of his - otherwise there's a steaming pile of misery coming to punish Fallon for her relentless optimism.

Synthetic Ruairi and Synthetic Caroline are adorable.
