Deluged damp squid or not? And has Peggy been assisted off the mortal coil by Rob yet?
And when will JD and Brian remember Debbie?

That was a good epi, it even had some farming in it. :o I'm so glad Kate isn't my daughter, and that my own DCs are nowt like her.

LillianGish · 19/03/2015 20:12

BOOP for tonight after the tedium of yesterday. I'm hoping Hellin will have opened the letter in error when Knob gets home. Also snerking at the Finbar Saunders-esque possibilities of Charlie getting in Adam's poly tunnel tomorrow.

enochroot · 19/03/2015 20:21

Welcome into the very small Charlie fan club, Gypsy.
He handled Rob very well.

Another good episode with the net closing on Rob and Kate getting some home truths. She really is despicable but Linda sees some good in her at least.

CuttedUpPear · 19/03/2015 20:23

Knob will let his wages get docked, say nothing to Helen, and when she finds out tell her that he was keeping is quiet to protect her - as Jess is so keen to destroy their lurve.

Anyway, who is going to THIS ??

enochroot · 19/03/2015 20:42

I thought it was bad form on Rob's part to have carried on writing the email when Charlie arrived. Finish off a phone call by all means but an email can wait. Then he tried to set the agenda and dominate Charlie but that didn't work.
Then he tried all the guff about Jess being unbalanced, as though Charlie would be outraged on his behalf. Charlie remained brisk and business-like.
Oh, I long for Rob to come apart at the seams.

GypsyFloss · 19/03/2015 21:31

I think you might be right about Keri & Brian Bore . Brian is always at his most ascerbic with Keri writing him.

Enochroot we can be a fan club of two!

CUP I think you are so right. Rob is all bollocks and bluster and I'll bet he hates having a younger man as his boss. I'm amazed he didn't try using the NYE kiss as some leverage.

Will no one click on my link?
Your chance to throw rotten tomatoes ...or, ok Star Star (or would that hurt?) at the SWs.

ZeroFunDame · 19/03/2015 22:04

Ohhh, CUP now I'll have to be sad when I wasn't before. I would have loved a trip to the Mailbox. Mostly to genuflect in front of Mr Harvey (who was providing such a lovely backdrop long before the present shenanigans) and to pull discreet faces at the others. But an overnight in Birmingham at short notice? ...

stilllearnin · 19/03/2015 22:05

I will join the Charlie club. I like that he has good and bad bits. Like Brian, Matt, all the best characters. Knob will bring up the nye snog but I think Charlie will not be flustered (although not sure how as he appears to be in the closet?)

The Kate thing is slightly annoying. I'm in yogi circles and there is a bit of that talk, but not that much. Kate did compromise over phoebe moving into the cottage thing though after Pat had set her straight.

Icimoi · 19/03/2015 22:05

It was highly satisfying to hear Knob's baffled rage, and equally satisfying to hear Kate's bafflement at the concept that no-one was going to bankroll her. I do hope Knob goes and rages at Hellin and that she demands a sensible answer to the question why he isn't prepared to take the easy solution, i.e. have a DNA test.

ZeroFunDame · 19/03/2015 22:12

Can you imagine Helen's conversation with Kirstie - trying to explain that Rob is obliged to hand over a proportion of the household budget for someone else's child purely to show Jess who's boss?

Even Helen is not that stupid.

stilllearnin · 19/03/2015 22:17

CUP will you feel a bit sorry for Daisy tho?

CuttedUpPear · 19/03/2015 22:42

Go on Zero, do it for the team. Airbnb have some reasonable sofabeds.....

CuttedUpPear · 19/03/2015 22:44

Is Daisy Peep? If so, no. Too many voices in one actress!

LillianGish · 19/03/2015 23:01

Please go zero. See if it's easier to tell it is Daisy speaking when you are actually looking at her.

BoreOfWhabylon · 19/03/2015 23:18

I note Daisy B's appearance or not depends on 'Filming Commitments'. Is she about to be whisked off to Hollywood? Will we have to get used to a NewNewPip?

I think we should be told.

So, someone must go to the shindig to ask on our behalves (is 'behalves' a word?)

ZeroFunDame · 20/03/2015 00:18

LilGGrin

Wouldn't it be fabulous for us if NewPip becomes the lovely Mr Redmayne's next dancing partner? Can anyone here pull strings in Hollywood?

I suspect I will have a pressing engagement injecting Latin vocab into a Marvel-fixated mind that evening. But there must be hundreds of posters or non posters who live in Birmingham? Show yourselves!

enochroot · 20/03/2015 01:17

Rob is so into his own little world of being obeyed that he thinks the CMS thing will just go away because he wills it so.
It's only mindless, stupid public servants after all. Overpaid bureaucrats who don't know what it is to do a day's work. Political correctness gone mad. Ruddy feminists ruining his life. It wasn't like this when we had an Empire and the little woman knew who was boss.

I think there are four Charlie fans now, BTW.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/03/2015 07:16

Make that five. I've always liked him. Can't remember if I've said it before.

enochroot, that's Rob to a T. Loathsome git. Angry

ErrolTheDragon · 20/03/2015 07:42

I like Charlie too, some of the time - not so much in his dealings with Ed but as a character it's good he's not one-dimensional. One of the good things about last nights' epi was cheering Brine in his encounter with Kate but then hissing a bit when he was obviously wanting not to highlight the issue of development at the meeting.

CuttedUpPear · 20/03/2015 08:08

In other news - Brine is going to be doing a webchat on Gransnet! Those wily silver vixens have nabbed him for themselves!
Who is for a little trip to The Other Side? I've got a headscarf with stirrups and horseshoes printed on it, the perfect disguise.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/03/2015 08:14

Count me in! I'm old enough to be a grandmother but thanks to my tardiness in getting started with this childbearing business and my children's astounding reluctance to have children while still students I'm not one yet. Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 20/03/2015 08:29

When? When is Brine going to be on Gransnet??

How come OliviaMNHQ didn't manage to snaffle him for us?
