This is too much for me now. I need to meditate.

OP posts:
minkGrundy · 19/01/2015 12:55

I think Rob is more gleeful about the prospect of having something over on Charlie. I think he will threaten to out him. the Ian thing is just a bonus.

KatieKaye · 19/01/2015 12:55

If Adam does confess will he also tell Ian about Pawel? Fidelity is not his strong point, is it? Bit like his mum!

stilllearnin · 19/01/2015 13:15

Hmm but he's being a bit short sighted about the Charlie thing. If not dancing to Jess' tune means not paying, it'll end in deductions from his wage. Now, Charlie as his manager shouldn't know anything about that, but it is the sort of thing that company's get wrong easily. Or jess could tell belfast that charlie is the one to get in touch with in thecfirst instance. That was my point really- he thinks it'll work to his advantage when it might make people more inclined to get one over on him.

songbird · 19/01/2015 13:26

So, at the moment these storylines are running:

Route B
Brookfield sale and Prudhoe move (and siblings talking about how they're going to spend the money)
Tony's recovery and Tom's return
RichJohn the prodigal grandson
HellRob and Jess
Ambridge Organics going tits up (though presumably linked to the above)
Hayley and Roy
Kate's return
Moike and Vicky selling up (or not!)
Ed'n'Emmur's wedding
Carol Tregorran's return
Charlie and Adam [grr]
Home Farm losing the BL contract
Fallon's shop
And now Tiger doing a moonlight flit Hmm

Plus, hints of SLs to come?
Elizabeth's sap rising
Alistair's 'conferences'

And surely there must be something soon about milk prices falling through the floor.

I must have forgotten something, but it's just getting ridiculous!

EBearhug · 19/01/2015 13:32

Lilian and revamping the Bull (which links into Matt's flit and the sale of Brookfield.)
Harrison and Fallon, though God knows, scriptwriters, we don't need the details. Did you never learn from the Sid/Jolene shower scene? (Jolene has history. Ew.)

IssyStark · 19/01/2015 14:30

Hello all (first posting on here)

I think Rob the Knob was gleeful because he now has one over on Adam and he will ahve to take a paternity test so will try and bribe Adam into going in his stead (doubt he'll succeed, but I bet he'll try).

Travelledtheworld · 19/01/2015 14:32

Back to the notion that JUstin Elliott is someone's love child.

Didn't Nigel Pargeter have a horrible mother who could have got up to all sorts of no good in the past ?

And does anyone else think Matt/ Tiger might be in debt to some desperate RUSSIAN gangsters ?

LillianGish · 19/01/2015 14:41

And don't forget the as yet unresolved fall-out of Jick's will. When will Hazel be back to take over Ambridge?
I thought JE's reference to local roots was him getting ahead of himself and having already mentally moved in to Brookfield.

ErrolTheDragon · 19/01/2015 14:50

Nigel's mother (Julia) wasn't horrible at all, IIRC, but she might well have had a colourful past.

Anyway, just listened to the lunchtime repeat; BOOP point for Lil's filthy laugh but not for Jolene's slavering.

Poor Lillian though - grasping at straws with the golf appointment etc.

EBearhug · 19/01/2015 15:00

Julia could be quite difficult to live with, as I remember. I am not sure you can say, "not horrible at all."

Travelledtheworld · 19/01/2015 15:29

I recall Julia being rather bossy and Nigel was always trying to keep her happy.
Long time TA listener here. My parents were avid listeners on Sunday mornings in the 1960's so I remember Tom Forrest , Ned Larkin and that generation.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 19/01/2015 15:55

Hello, you two! (Issy and Travelled)

That's it, really. Smile

Minimammoth · 19/01/2015 16:02

Well they've got us all wondering how things will turn, so many options, and Lizzie is looking for lurve, after her innings with Roy.

enochroot · 19/01/2015 16:03

R4 I stand corrected on the respective ages of Carol and Justin. He is young enough to be her son after all, or Peggy's, or Nelson Gabriel's, or Phil's etc.

The worst thing about a possible Carol connection IMO is that we get to hear more of Carol!

JE appears to want Brookfield and I would have thought he'd have his eyes on the best house around which must surely be Loxley Hall.

On Child Maintenance, the first thing an employer is likely to know is when a notice to deduct from earnings arrives from Belfast. It's not negotiable so I can't see how Charlie could have any influence on Rob's behalf.

I wonder if Charlie will seek a 'cover' if he thinks he's going to be outed and start heavily flirting with a local gal.

Minimammoth · 19/01/2015 16:04

Can someone arrange for Rob to fall into a slurry pit and the only person around be Charlie. Perhaps Rob is Gay

stilllearnin · 19/01/2015 16:12

But if R makes things hard for Charlie, then Charlie could make sure the village knows R is paying for a child (after all Susan for example , loves Charlie). That was more the scenario I had in mind. At the moment Rob does not know H told Pat. He'll be furious if he finds out.

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 19/01/2015 17:01

Marking place!

FatherHenderson · 19/01/2015 18:57

I don't think Knob really cares about hurting Adam and Ian. He wants Charlie over a barrel. However, I don't think Charlie will really care. He has not pretended to be heterosexual. Rob will try to blackmail him, and Charlie will rightly shrug it off.

Also Charlie is much smarter than Rob and can outmanoeuvre him with his hands tied behind his back.

I predict that one day Helen will ask Rob "who are you?"

BringYourOwnSnowman · 19/01/2015 19:03

Rob hates Ian and Adam so will get some twisted pleasure in all of this.

I don't think he will blackmail Charlie but he will start him to treat him in the way he feel he deserves for being gay as rob is a raging homophobe. Just a way to show him to be an intolerant bully.

Iwantacampervan · 19/01/2015 19:06

They really are all Dopey aren't they ?

BringYourOwnSnowman · 19/01/2015 19:06

Pip is so rude!! And more crappy acting and varying accent. Who actually laughs 'woo ha ha'.

They really are so dopey!!

And I thought they were desperate to move closer to heather. Makes that strand so idiotic!

BringYourOwnSnowman · 19/01/2015 19:09

Xpost about dopeys!!

Looks like the estate are screwing ed. I wish the sw would stop getting ed to despair'?

Would someone of pips age use the phrase 'oh my days'? And why is her accent so variable!!!!

And how shite is the naming bricks. Was that actually true at the time?

KatieKaye · 19/01/2015 19:11

Ye Gads, Pip is vile. Such an annoying character. And idolised by her dopey parents.

GypsyFloss · 19/01/2015 19:13

Pip sounds like a another Pip. Bloody voice. As for the oh my days...well last summer my teens said it but as sure as hell don't now. Never mind an agricultural editor, if they're going to have loads of teens they need to get their act together on their speech and social media.

dairyfarmerswife · 19/01/2015 19:14

Poor Ed. Here's your milk price problem. It will affect tenant farmers before farm owners because the rent won't wait and they have no major assets.
