sqeaver / percentage... (sorry, phone being awkward - won't let me edit preview.)

PumpkinGordino · 25/10/2014 18:03

it;s very unclear how much actual cash D&R have to buy a farm in northumberland. but i find it hard to believe that a similar farm in the NE is worth a quarter to a half of the value of one in borsetshire, unless D&R's share is as high as 90% or something

justiceofthePeas · 25/10/2014 19:24

Yup shares were mentioned bt Kenton at meeting.
Roy when mentioning cheque said something along lines of i got the cheque now that is out of the way I don't want us to fall out. (Twat)

Also note Lizzie "i can't how I feel. How I felt" I reckon Roy will give up and cease pursuit possibly reconcile with H. Then Lizzie will give chase. (Middle aged tart)

Phoebe will leave forever. H will leave. Frilly will go off the rails.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 25/10/2014 19:29

Lizzie will get horny and give Roy a booty call when she can't shark any other local men

justiceofthePeas · 25/10/2014 19:29

Oh yes and one of the twisted sisters went straight to a lawyer to see what they'd get. Think it was Lizzie (ooh I cannot organise anything but can get to a lawyer quick smart)

They missed scope there for Roy to take her to cleaners and her to say all hand wringing "oh David, Ruth, I'm so sorry I have no choice. I don't understand it. It's so unfair nasty Roy is taking me for everything. So you see you hve to give me my share of Brookfield. I need it for Frilly. You do understand" (sob)

BringYourOwnSnowman · 25/10/2014 19:35

The sw are pretty lazy when it comes to following through on a real story - like the legal angle. Problem is that it starts to make it unbelievable.

KatieKaye · 25/10/2014 21:30

So the scene is set for some sort of big showdown at the hunt ball.

will it be:

Jess giving birth on the dance floor?

Phoebe denouncing the Lizard as a middle-aged harpy in the orangery?

Ian discovering Adam and Charlie canoodling at the rare breeds centre?

Carol cornering Jenny in the library?

BasketzatDawn · 26/10/2014 00:43

Am I the only one fretting about the identity the taxi driver?Smile If there's a Horrobin not in jail, then I reckon one of them drives a taxi. Ergo, hotline to Radio Carter - who though she seemed subdued by Jill's words didn't really think they applied other or Clarrie ......

BasketzatDawn · 26/10/2014 00:54

Please excuse typos. identity OF taxi driver. And applied to her or C. Time for cocoa and bed, I think. Smile

justiceofthePeas · 26/10/2014 01:49

I very much doubt he can have got away entirely unseen. Some convoluted plot will emerge where it will come out but not straight away.

There also has to be some k8nd of pheasantgate as that plot has been building for a while.

Taxi slips on poult road kill.
300 pheasants burst in through the windows of LL during hunt ball and savagely peck justin eliot.
(Like the birds)
or they make Shula's horse bolt.
Or the pheasants vomit on Susan's sofur.

Telling you no good will come of pheasant overstocking and no doubt Will will be the pheasant scape goat.

justiceofthePeas · 26/10/2014 01:52

Oh...and this goes back a bit but what happened with Susan's unusual hairdo? Has it grown back ? Is she getting same cut again? Has everyone just got used to it now? am just wondering if it was at all Tipee Hedron (sp?)

unitarian · 26/10/2014 01:04

basketz It's just conceivable, given the constraints of casting and all, that the taxi driver would be HWMNBN.

So two dementors were in a taxi....

(write your own punchline.)

Icimoi · 26/10/2014 09:35

I don't think shoving Roy in a taxi was any evidence of Lizzie growing a backbone, Olivia. How many of us would be up for a shag with a drunk and tearful bloke? Even if he were able to be up for it.

Icimoi · 26/10/2014 09:37

I wondered if the SWs were reading this when David suddenly shoehorned in a reference to what the children thought about the prospective move - just after we were pointing out how odd their silence on the subject was. But it was still wildly improbable, even if Peep was fine with it surely the boys would have views on leaving school and their mates, especially when they're coming up big exams.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 26/10/2014 10:18

Never let character realism get in the way of a plot line....

Bluestocking · 26/10/2014 10:47

I think Jill should have said to Susan that she should know what t's like having a daughter whose sexual morals are a bit iffy, rather than trying to assume the moral high ground.

BOOreOfWOOObylon · 26/10/2014 11:18

I was sooo disappointed that the closing music wasn't changed to 'Wuthering Heights' Archers-stylee

Dum de dum dum dum
Dum de dum
De dum de dum de dum dum...

BOOreOfWOOObylon · 26/10/2014 11:20

Also, am thinking Pheasant-gate will turn out to be ALL ROY'S FAULT and he will be out of a job soon, just to compound his misery

NoMarymary · 26/10/2014 11:43

Phenomenal crystal ball with the title of this thread and Roy wailing at Lizzies window!

GypsyFloss · 26/10/2014 12:58

Right folks, I'm away till weds night so I need full on descriptions and opinions to keep me going please.

unitarian · 26/10/2014 14:35

I'm wondering if Pheasant Gate might herald a reversal in the fortunes of Will and Ed.

If Will were to get the sack he'd lose his gamekeeper's cottage and have to move into 1 The Green, which we were informed again this week is empty, but he'd get no more rental income from it. He'd have a roof over his family's head though.

Ed seems to be earning some trust at Home Farm and could be given the keeper's job, get the cottage and have a home at last for his family.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 26/10/2014 14:45

Oh - please don't encourage them to find any more reasons for Will and Ed to fight. It would break Clarrie's heart - and make me feel quite sad.

Anyway I don't think Ed has gamekeeping skills or qualifications, whereas he is very good with cows.

Willow Farm will (I am determined) soon be completely empty.....

PureDeadBrilliant · 26/10/2014 15:08

I am getting so tired of Ed getting a kicking from the SW. He is a lovely character, and frankly it's just getting boring seeing what torment they can put him through next. I would much rather he was on a good financial footing so he could have a storyline other than struggling to make ends meet.

But I would love for him to be shown to the the bigger man than his brother. Who is a twerp.

BOOreOfWOOObylon · 26/10/2014 15:14

Aaaaarghhh!!

I meant, of course, that pheasant-gate will be ALL WILL'S FAULT, not Roy's.

Roy is blameless, at least as far as pheasants are concerned.

BringYourOwnSnowman · 26/10/2014 16:16

I think it would be nice if some households didn't have life changing decisions to make an I think the whole Grundy clan should be made exempt from these ludicrous storylines.

It's just all too much. Stuff like this does happen in villages but not all at the same time
