A big showdown tonight I hope.

Thanks to Zero (I think?) for the great title.

Freda's going to throw out those witch's fingers thinking they're mouldy.

Emma and Fallon need premises to bake in. Ed and Emma need somewhere to live. Could they afford to rent somewhere again if the baking business paid for kitchen usage?

ErrolTheDragon · 16/10/2014 11:29

They need somewhere to do their 'upcycling' too.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 16/10/2014 11:40

What happened to the old police house?

And that pub that floats around?

PetulaGordino · 16/10/2014 11:43

fell into hellmouth sinkhole

ppeatfruit · 16/10/2014 13:19

Aren't Tom and Kirsty's place, and HWNMNBM's place empty?

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 16/10/2014 13:37

Floating pub now = executive apts courtesy of Tiger

If Rob has done well as a result of sharing Jess's putative inheritance, does he need Helen and Henry?

If J is pregnant with his child and has money, wouldn't he better off going back to her?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 16/10/2014 13:48

He's not in it for the money. He wants the control.

Abra1d · 16/10/2014 14:17

He was very interested in Helen's inheritance of Peggy's house back six months or so ago.

BasketzatDawn · 16/10/2014 14:29

What was spilt on Soosan's floor then?

I wonder at Fallon and Co not getting use of village hall kitchen for this venture, though I imagine it might not have good cooker. Where does F live now? Did she ove into flat above shop after Hell left for the MotherShip?

BasketzatDawn · 16/10/2014 14:33

I can't believe Jess would be so silly as to let him get his mucky paws on her money. She must have some awareness of money matters through her work. I know she sounds a bit daft but I think that's just bad acting - AND she did stay married to Knob for far too long, but she does seem to have seen through him now. Though tis quite possible I am the naïve one here. Smile

unitarian · 16/10/2014 14:35

That's one of the strange things about Rob. If he was greedy for money he would keep Helen shackled to the shop but he plays the long game and has his eyes on the prize of Helen's inheritance which he's already stated is 'for Henry' so he's already controlling how it will be used.

PetulaGordino · 16/10/2014 14:43

it's status rather than money isn't it? so, money helps but only if it's from the right source

being able to support a SAHM and child shows he is bringing home the bacon. hunting is a pursuit of the elite (well, actually i disagree with that somewhat, but rob would say so) and allows him to rub shoulders with the great and the good

inheritance from family - acceptable source

ppeatfruit · 16/10/2014 14:49

Basketz Ed's muddy overalls, and Emm said he was 'drippin' mud'. Plus whatever she and Hell were using to rub down the old chest of drawers.
Bit strange Emm said to leave the overalls on the flop in the util. room. They must have buckets for soaking stuff in .

Also when does that 'big' (well the bark made it sound big) dog go for it's walk?

ppeatfruit · 16/10/2014 14:50

Does anyone else's spell checker 'respell' your words wrongly? FGS I meant floor not 'flop' !!!!

Pilcrow · 16/10/2014 14:52

Going back to the mess on Soosan's floor, Fallon/Emma are total idiots. They don't need to sand their recycled tat pre-loved artefacts at all. As any fule kno, Annie Sloan paints were invented precisely so you don't have to faff about about rubbing things down.

So much for Fallon's brilliant business idea; she hasn't even worked out how to save herself a whole world of trouble and effort. Dolt.

unitarian · 16/10/2014 14:54

Absolutely, Petula. He also gets half of Bridge Farm eventually and will no doubt want Henry privately educated to complete the picture.

PetulaGordino · 16/10/2014 14:54

yes mine corrects common and correct words all the time ppeat

BasketzatDawn · 16/10/2014 14:59

Holly's the dog, no? That must be where I got this name from in great name confusion of last week. No idea when the mutt gets walked or who takes it out though. Smile

Re-Knob, I am fully expecting now Helen has no personal income, he will start with financial pressure. Time will tell.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 16/10/2014 15:05

But it's not that great an inheritance is it?

yy basketz "i work hard to make sure i can afford nice things for you and henry, so i need to be able to keep track of our expenditure. you must be able to see that? you wanted to give up work remember?"

unitarian · 16/10/2014 15:32

Half of Bridge Farm plus Peggy's house? Not to be sneezed at.

Might be more than half of Bridge Farm depending on whether he gets Tom bumped off in Canada and tampers with the brakes on the quad bike to get rid of Johnnie.

And Petula's right about how he'll take charge of the family finances.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 16/10/2014 15:45

I think bridge farm could be a big debt rather than an asset! And the house can't be worth that much in reality. If he is after big bucks its not that great.

I think he's more after the relationship control and wants to be master. It's a control thing.

BasketzatDawn · 16/10/2014 16:09

None of them ever seem to do house maintenance in TA so Bridge Farm must be falling down by now. I know about falling down houses .... due to not doing much DIY. BlushI know JD and Brine get a man in, but Pat and Tone don't seem to do that? These big old houses will take a lot of work, I'd think.
