How about we immortalise Schrodinger's Baby in the opening paragraph?

How long will this thread last DadDadDad?

OP posts:

Charlie does not sound to me like the kind of man who would have beer in his car/cab. I was beginning to wonder if he had a sexual thing for tractors but it was just Adam after all.

I noticed the Rufus Wainwright playing and wondered if that was meant to be pointed.

Carol did sound rather sinister when discussing her remedies!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 03/10/2014 15:15

Hahaha have we ever had ANY indication that Roy is good looking before?

LillianGish · 03/10/2014 15:19

Could Ian be following in the footsteps of his predecessor Jean Paul - the Grey Gables chef who communicated via the medium of mime?

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 03/10/2014 15:20

Am I missing something? Is "Hunt Ball" some kind of Borsetshire code for "whapping your penis out and giving everyone a go on it?"

ErrolTheDragon · 03/10/2014 15:24

I listened last night and this lunchtime and somehow didn't notice any music at all. Hmph. Almost tempted to try again from the podcast link to find out what I've been missing.

R4 · 03/10/2014 15:35

They are very subtle Errol. I rely on this thread to point out the musical witticisms.

songbird · 03/10/2014 15:42

I spotted Rufus Wainright [preen], and it did annoy me at first (obviously The Gays only listen to gay artists!), but realising it's gone over a fair few heads I now feel a little smug that I got the joke.

When Feebs had her specTACular strop at Roy it also made me snigger that he was listening to Radiohead - mopey music he would have listened to as a teenager(ish) for a man behaving like a mopey teenager.

'Carol the late middle aged witch' for a thread title praps?

trevortrevorslattery · 03/10/2014 16:07

thanks R4 and cheminotte I shall look forward to listening whist waiting for the pizza delivery preparing a nutritious post-run meal.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 03/10/2014 16:11

Will the hobbit get his comeuppance? Will Adam act like a right Charlie?

Will we get a silent 14 mins as lily and matt debate whether mine or art are better mediums for silent communication?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 03/10/2014 16:40

"Rogered by a hobbit in the LL undergrowth, buried in a raised bed with Bert or harassed behind the arras with Adam? Pick your Ambridge fate here."

unitarian · 03/10/2014 16:40

New thread title has to contain a reference to rogering hobbits surely!

cheminotte · 03/10/2014 16:42

Can't remember who asked but Ian punched Rob at the cycle race done for Sports Relief I think.

unitarian · 03/10/2014 16:44

Cross posted, sorry.

What Zero said.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 03/10/2014 16:45

"Oh YES Master! The official Ambridge policy on discipline and punishment. Join us in the Village Hall for serious discussion."

unitarian · 03/10/2014 16:46

That too!

cheminotte · 03/10/2014 16:49

Thanks for the musical clarifications. Radiohead I did at least vaguely recognise Blush . What about when Helen and Rob were on earlier in the week?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 03/10/2014 16:51

942!

Possibly...

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 03/10/2014 16:51

So you dislike someone enough to punch them but disappear into the undergrowth (avoiding the rogering hobbits) and desert your friend who is stuck with the loser?

That was a question rather than a title suggestion btw!

PetulaGordino · 03/10/2014 16:56

i don't know what helen and rob listen to but i always think it sounds very bland

PetulaGordino · 03/10/2014 16:57

thanks for the reminder re ian. i can't believe i forgot that. rob was goading him, wasn't he?

Panzee · 03/10/2014 16:57

I'm just back from work. How are we doing for numbers?

bleedingheart · 03/10/2014 17:19

Helen & Rob had the reggae version of 'Cupid, draw back your bow' on in the background I think. It didn't seem likely, I recall.

I only started listening again around LoxFest after a long break. Why did Ian punch Rob? What had he done, can someone tell me please?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 03/10/2014 17:28

New ed does like his background music.

I think dh and I are the only people who don't have music on in the evening.

cheminotte · 03/10/2014 17:47

Re Carol finding Roy good looking - maybe she has cataracts like Jill did?!
I think the background music must be annoying if you are hard of hearing. In fact, surely it ill be on Feedback soon.

unitarian · 03/10/2014 17:48

I got stuck behind a tractor on the way home just now. Just a farmer and his dog in the cab, no hot youngish men.

It made me wonder why we never hear of any farm dogs in Ambridge.
