How about we immortalise Schrodinger's Baby in the opening paragraph?

How long will this thread last DadDadDad?

Freddie told her. (On Friday I think, I only heard it this morning) Texted her before school to arrange to meet on the village green.

He interpreted Roy's arrival at LL (to confront Elizabeth) as evidence of the resumption of the affair - which prompted him to reveal all to Phoebe.

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 28/09/2014 21:31

Phoebe was very reluctant to believe him but he told her his mother had admitted it - I think that was what clinched it

GypsyFloss · 28/09/2014 21:57

Ah thankyou . I missed Friday.

toldmywrath · 28/09/2014 23:06

Somewhere upthread there's a brilliant (imagined) description of RoyRota'sReplacement informing her job agency by one sided convo that she has R's job now-I'm still laughing at imagine the static (was it by BYOS ?) Also the mime to JD & Brine by Feebs-priceless! Grin
Thank you for brightening up my day.

CuttedUpPear · 29/09/2014 07:25

Agreed, Carol is definitely not one of my favourite adults either!
She is a Plot Device and nothing more.

Fallon and Jazzer WILL end up together one day. ..it might take years but it is Meant To Be.

GypsyFloss · 29/09/2014 14:09

I agree CuttedUpPear on both counts. Although I'm wondering whether Carol might also be a serial killer and the ugly painting they were going on about might be her first trophy Grin

ErrolTheDragon · 29/09/2014 14:54

Just listened to the lunchtime repeat. Poor Phoebe - just can't bear to be around her dad, and worrying about Hayley.

Does anyone else yet know that H. is going to leave LL too? What excuse can she give?

Eddie.... if you hear a nasty rumour from Susan which you don't believe, then for pities sake don't promptly pass it on to Lynda.

nauticant · 29/09/2014 15:44

So the rumour mill will get outofI hand and liz won't deny it. Now phoebe knows its just a matter of time surely.

Will the sinkhole see off Justin's plans as well as route b?

For the briefest of moments I thought sinkhole was a new nickname for Lizzie.

PseudoBadger · 29/09/2014 16:15

Something is clearly messing with the water table. It must be Berrow Farm, or the change of practice on the estate. Extracting ground water?
Or perhaps Justin is indulging in a spot of light fracking?

Wasn't there some allusion in the death bed letter from JT to JD about Carol's 'secrets'? Maybe that's why they've employed a high quality actor in Eleanor Bron - maybe there is high quality acting required in the future. Smile I wonder what JD knows of Carol - when reading the letter to Brian, she sounded worried, but that could have been weariness. JD often sounds weary I think.

Re-Hayley and wanting it all kept quiet, now the children know - esp. Phoebe - it will be clear to all and sundry why she left LL. Then she'll get lots of unsolicited advice - think Joe Grundy, Linda Snell, Radio Carter. Poor H. Other possibility is that H will find out Phoebe knows and will get her to keep quiet - but that's a less interesting option.

PetulaGordino · 29/09/2014 17:41

basketz there was definitely some speculation too from peggy re carol and not having the full story. this must be part of the "archers future is in its past" thing

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 29/09/2014 17:42

I think Hayley and phoebe will have a heart to heart where Hayley will try to explain why she is trying to carry on as normal.

Love the idea of Justin telling his friends

'I'm just popping down to my country estate for a spot of fracking'

unitarian · 29/09/2014 17:43

I've been away for a few days but managed to keep up with TA - we sat in a carpark listening to the interview with Usha!
DH & I think David's pastures not drying out is connected with the surprise spring and that there is something dodgy going on with the water-table and that this is connected to BL.

I love the rumour mill getting going. No one has twigged yet that Lizzie's libido is the issue. They'd rather think that Roy's been fiddling the books!

Oh. And WAS Loxfest a resounding success? It was close to disaster before the PSBs appeared. Roy hit a protester, didn't he? That could be a sacking offence.......

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 29/09/2014 17:47

I think Roy was hit by a protestor and loxfest was a raving success of course (just like it would have been in real life....) and fallon even sold out of cake

Tbf the last thing I would e wanting to think about was lizzies libido!

BasketzatDawn · 29/09/2014 17:53

Something was said - by Elizabeth I think - about Bollocksfest 'breaking even' .Not how I'd define a 'resounding success' but there you go.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 29/09/2014 18:00

I'm sure she declared it a success pre shag

I'd have thought breaking even in your first year is pretty good

unitarian · 29/09/2014 18:05

Break even had stuck in my mind too. Hayley seems to think it brought in a huge profit. Surely the PSBs didn't perform for free (at Loxfest) and until it was announced they were appearing the ticket sales were disastrous so a humungous number of people must have suddenly turned up.

(I'm a nit-picker. I like some realism....)

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 29/09/2014 18:08

Fallons cakes sold out and the midnight walkers were offered a wedding gig

How could that not tell you all that it was clearly hugely profitable!!

BasketzatDawn · 29/09/2014 18:25

Wasn't it after the cancellation of 'Quaintance Smith' that it was said to break even again? Before they cancelled and with the bad publicity they were having trouble selling tickets, no?

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 29/09/2014 19:07

Charlie stalking Adam again?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 29/09/2014 19:10

Carol sounds like such a bitch and thinks everyone is beneath her

As for lizzie 'it's times like this I wish Nigel was here' - well I can't imagine he would have been very impressed with her behaviour.

And good on Jennifer giving Carol a moving in present when carol had been so mean at the kitchen party.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 29/09/2014 19:11

OMG.

So is Carol destitute, or just disappointed?

BasketzatDawn · 29/09/2014 19:12

I hope Charlie doesn't crash the tractor. Smile

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 29/09/2014 19:13

She can't be destitute - she would have half the marital assets anyway and some sort of pension.

nauticant · 29/09/2014 19:14

Were Carol and John married? If so, he can't give away half of the assets jointly held in the marriage can he?

Was that Charlie making the vaguest of hints about being in pursuit of Adam?
