How about we immortalise Schrodinger's Baby in the opening paragraph?

How long will this thread last DadDadDad?

Maybe lily will impart her knowledge on the village via the medium of mime. Bleurgh

Highly unprofessional of usha to continue te conversation at all. I'm sure the beeb could have got one of the actors to pretend to be someone else for that short scene!!

Hayley leaving her job will set the gossips off and will also make lizzie look worse.

I fear this is paving the way for a tucker exodus to brum and two empty houses to fill with new (and irritating characters)

The new ed wants to start again but he has to keep the archers (clues in the name) so he's getting rid of those he can and those who aren't urbanite enough for his liking (fallon being an example of who he likes with her trendy upcycling)

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 24/09/2014 20:54

I did notice the name "Ash" being repeated ad infinitum by David. He had a .... machine of some sort. I forget. But wondered if this was Ash's formal introduction to Ambridge. (He didn't speak.)

And then there'e the possible milk processing purchaser. May be a new resident?) Though I would resent it if anyone but ED ends up in charge of the whole business.)

Welcome bleedingheart. Hope you'll stay de-lurked.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 24/09/2014 20:57

Hmm How is it possible to produce so many mistakes? I would offer my apologies but I'd probably spell them wrong.

LillianGish · 24/09/2014 21:03

Hello bleeding heart. I agree that Hayley wanted Usha to know - I also think Usha couldn't resist finding out what was going on. Unprofessional maybe, but only human!

LillianGish · 24/09/2014 21:05

BYOS Grin at through the medium of mime.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/09/2014 21:11

I recently went through loads of different dance type with dd on YouTube (she asked if she could go to robot dance classes)

I really like the idea of lizzie and Roy having a dance off - I know we wouldn't be able to see it but the actors could really work on their scene setting whoops etc

I do think we are due an influx of outsiders. I was always surprised they didn't make more use of the housing estate that was built. This is going to be walford on Am before you know it. Won't anyone think of the cows!!

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 24/09/2014 21:43

will Phoebe move in to Home Farm? She can't go!

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 24/09/2014 21:46

Icimoi re the chicken pox: YES! Absolutely; genius! I couldn't think why they were doing this, that makes perfect sense!

LillianGish · 24/09/2014 21:48

Phoebe will go to South Africa to join her mum in exile.

LillianGish · 24/09/2014 21:49

She will also have to go through the medium of mime since I can't remember when we last heard from her.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/09/2014 22:00

'Oh look Brian, phoebes waving, is she pretending to open a door?, is she pretending to be someone wearing polyester?, oh my Brian, is she trying to tell us something?'

'Good god Jenny, Roy's been shaggibg Elizabeth! The wanton hussy!'

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 24/09/2014 22:14

GrinBYOS

Now do Geraldine telling the agency why she's been offered a permanent job as LL Manager....

TheOnlyOliviaMumsnet · 24/09/2014 22:20

LOVing it at the mo

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/09/2014 22:20

Now that's tricky as it would probably be over the phone! Although nothing beats a one sided conversation.

'Yes she's offered me a permanent role.....yes......he is looking I believe......well Elizabeth was always very happy with him.....I shouldn't say....well it is delicate.....ok ok, but you mustn't tell anyone I told you this...there was s e x ......yep......I know, imagine the static....'

I like the idea of matt presenting leonie with the knitted flowers using interpretative dance.

ErrolTheDragon · 24/09/2014 22:33

I think they had to keep RichJohn - he is the current method by which TA fulfils its educational brief, because Tony, Ed etc have to keep explaining famery stuff to him. And hopefully he'll put a spanner in Rob's evil machinations somehow - I noticed that grumpy poorly Henry seemed to cheer up for a moment when young Uncle RJ breezed in with a high five. And if Tom comes back he'll find himself displaced and that's got to be good hasn't it?

Icimoi · 24/09/2014 23:16

I suppose Lizzie will have to pay a hefty fee to the agency if she's taking Geraldine on permanently. That's proved to be a mega-expensive couple of shags, hasn't it?

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/09/2014 23:22

Yes that's true. Was it worth it!

Do you think Charlie and pc plot will start prowling around once they find out the not so Merry Widow has had an awakening? I could inagine Charlie would love to play lord of the manor.

Although, do we know he is single? Could he end up moving into the village with a family (teenage kids to bring some yoof) and a high maintenance wife (they do so love their stereotypes)

TheFantasticMrsFox · 25/09/2014 02:20

Well the time for me to de-lurk is finally upon us :)
While I was at work (yes my job is that riveting) it suddenly occurred to me, how long would Henry have been incubating chicken pox for and when did Jess visit the house? For that matter I'm not even sure if it is chicken pox that is dangerous in pregnancy, at it is several centuries ago that I was pregnant? :o

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 25/09/2014 03:55

Well MrsFox you've de-lurked at exact the right moment to give me something to do as I can't sleep. Here's some stuff about chicken pox.

It's a while since Jess visited - I think the story might take an interesting turn if she showed up again. Perhaps Rob might invite her? Or she might invite herself to hang out with Helen again. It would be a rather Hardy-esque ironic coincidence if her own insistence on seeing them brings a out a (somewhat unlikely but useful) tragedy.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 25/09/2014 03:57

(It's not me, it's the phone...)

mummytime · 25/09/2014 07:16

Jess is pretty far on, so whilst Chicken Pox is risky in pregnancy (I've had it in pregnancy once, and was checked as my kids had it another time I was pregnant), its most risky early on.

It depends when Jess is due, if she is really close and caught it then they would be concerned that she didn't run too high a fever, might consider anti-virals (but in my case didn't use them), and would have a few problems about if she went into labour whilst still contagious. But it wouldn't be a major thing.

BTW although Jess didn't see Henry that time, when I caught Chicken Pox I only had indirect contact with the child via their parent.

ErrolTheDragon · 25/09/2014 09:54

BYOS - I thought we were under the impression Charlie was gay ... maybe swings both ways. That could be interesting...

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 25/09/2014 09:57

When Charlie arrived the BBC blog had him "in a relationship.".....

ppeatfruit · 25/09/2014 10:31

mummytime ref. hunting, I know I know, but I've only just L.A. to yesterday's and the day's before. (we've got visitors).

IMO it's more barbaric to have animals inside in tiny places for their whole lives than a quick run and kill. Also isn't it drag hunting in GB nowadays ?

It happens at the low crop season too doesn't it? They should be made to clear up and replant if they do hurt the crops.

Yeah who's Ash?

Nice to have a happy Tony for a change. Interesting that RJ is riding Tom's quad bike. Some of the blokes round here are frightening on them!
