How about we immortalise Schrodinger's Baby in the opening paragraph?

How long will this thread last DadDadDad?

I too wondered what Roy and Hayley are going to use to pay solicitors' fees if neither of them are working.

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 22/09/2014 07:20

BYOS, Angus Imrie is Celia Imrie's son, not grandson! He's 4 or 5 years older than Josh and doing a drama degree at the moment, I believe. His father is Benjamin Whitrow (Mr Bennet in BBC P&P of Colin Firth wet shirt fame).

The One, the attack was in 1995 (! where has the time gone?), before Usha was living with Richard Locke. Roy wasn't one of the attackers but what he did was just as bad. He was friendly with a gang of racists when he was at sixth form college and heard them talking about the need to teach a lesson to all these uppity immigrants who thought they could come and live in Borsetshire. He then piped up saying that he could give them the address of just such a person who was living in a remote cottage (Blossom Hill). It was a scummy thing to do and fortunately Roy got beaten up when he finally saw the light and went to the police.

Usha acted for him when he was fighting Kate for custody of Phoebe, so they have to some extent made their peace with each other. I agree, though, I don't see how she could act for him against Elizabeth. Christian Rodska appeared briefly in TA as a solicitor. I can't remember whether that was to do with Siobhan or Matt but I had high hopes that he would become a regular - dashed.

This is a useful source of information on the last 60 years of TA!

Oh thanks, Mimsy - it's weird how the memories get scrambled!

That blog looks very useful Smile. There used to be an interactive timeline on the mustard pages - it's still there but no longer interactive, it's frozen in 2012.

(Oh! I've just been back to it to check where it ends & there's the link to this blog on the page - I didn't spot that last time I looked!)

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 22/09/2014 09:44

Well he's very lucky whoever he is

Usha must have partners in her law firm who could step in. Perhaps to save money they could get in sooty

R4 · 22/09/2014 09:58

There used to be an interactive timeline on the mustard pages

Talking of which, did we all spot Lyndy's subtle reference during the week when discussing colour schemes with Leonie? Was it gold or ochre or ... mustard? GrinWink

I am a bit worried that Wayne is going to become a more regular character by moving in with fallon or something. Fallon/pc plot/Wayne/jolene are just not characters I particularly enjoy listening to in big doses.

I would add Wayne to the list of characters that could have been culled to allow matt/Robert/James an appearance at the naming ceremony!!!

R4 · 22/09/2014 10:15

Why is J'lene so over-infested in Fallon's love life. I wouldn't dream of telling the DC who they should go out with.

I don't mind if we hear more of Wayne as the specimen falling-on-hard-times-bloke because that means young Ed is off the hook.

PetulaGordino · 22/09/2014 10:23

i know R4. i don't understand why everyone is pushing fallon to go out with him. apparently she can't possibly be single and happy

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 22/09/2014 10:54

Yeah.... Thanks Mimsy.

Properly messed up my morning.

Grin

I'm surprised the BBC don't make more of a thing about that page. It ought to be the most obvious resource.

But I'm getting nothing done....

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 22/09/2014 10:57

I think they are trying to go for a Romeo and Juliet style story - 2 people meant to be together but on opposite sides of the law.

They just haven't managed to convey that 'they are meant to be together' very well

Either that or pc plot is suddenly going to go psycho and no one will believe fallon cos he's such a nice guy

Please no Wayne. We can hear him falling on bad times without having to endure him surely?

And carol - she was little miss Plotdevice cliche last time so I hope they have rounded her character out a bit more

PetulaGordino · 22/09/2014 10:58

i suppose we are still awaiting Wrath Of Hazel aren't we

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 22/09/2014 11:04

Oh no - please tell me they've blown the budget and can't get hazel back

I fear a village shop closing/grundys eviction story just before Christmas.

TeenyfTroon · 22/09/2014 13:01

I wonder if Roy & Hayley are being shuffled off to Brum with Mike & Vicky. I hope not. At this rate they'll have to rename it The Archer.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 22/09/2014 13:06

I do fear a cast clear out

Pc plot will buy mikes house and who will buy Roy's?

I guess the open day will tell us more

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 22/09/2014 13:16

And at least he's not HWMNBN.

cheminotte · 22/09/2014 16:59

Wayne's is pretty self-inflicted though, so I don't have a lot of sympathy there.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 22/09/2014 19:06

Shula should know what a Home Assessment is, didn't they do one when her former in-law died?

Oldladyhip · 22/09/2014 19:18

Oh Fallon.. you are being a bit of a shit

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 22/09/2014 19:20

What happened with fallon? I was stuck doing bath time!!!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 22/09/2014 19:20

I'm not sure which of them is worse. Stalker Plod is a distinct possibility.

But Fallon did mention London with some longing. Wonder if Emma would also want to pursue a big city up-cycling career.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 22/09/2014 19:22

Oh, Plod arrived to ask why he was dumped by phone. She wriggled, but really ahd nothing more to say. Exit Plod saying he had "thought better of her".

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 22/09/2014 19:27

So is carol one of these people who 'says it how it is and if you don't like it you're uptight'?

BitOutOfPractice · 22/09/2014 19:37

Yes I think she's basically Christine with chutzpah

I think Fallon has behaved really really badly to Plod
