Ruth and David delivered a calf, had a visit from Shula and a visit from Charlie. Shula brought news that the council had turned down the AD unit application. Charlie brought the suggestion that with the farm split in two R&D might like to contract themselves to produce waste for the eventual AD unit. Because it would bring them more profit... Shitty idea. Not appreciated.

Lizzie woke up in bed with Roy. Declarations were exchanged.

She seems to employ a lot of people so why is she so involved? Couldn't she just float around and occasionally comment on things?

It was much more realistic in the Nigel days and seemed more like a small country manor. Liz and nige would have very convincing business conversations. It was all conferences/weddings/tree top walk/small vineyard etc

Now it seems like it is an enormous pile and I'm just not convinced

I'm coming late to this thought, but it really does seem massively unlikely that someone whose sole experience is running a small hotel could organise a big pop festival. There are so many things to sort out - planning, contracts, catering, health and safety, environmental health, transport, insurance, marketing and publicity, etc etc. Surely you would contract in someone with experience to advise?

Shula must have overheard surely? And Roy was seen buying the locket. No way it won't come out. Poor Hayley.

I am an events organiser with most of my experience being in festivals.
This storyline and its inaccuracies re Loxfest has had my blood boiling for months - massively unrealistic!

Roy and Elizabeth-utterly vomit inducing and totally unconvincing. I can be fairly tolerant of unexpected storylines when other cry "character transplant" but there is no way on earth that Roy would do this, or that Elizabeth would find him attractive.

The Roy/Elizabeth interactions are stomach turning. I feel ashamed to be eavesdropping, like someone watching car crash victims. Yeuchhh.

I suspect it will come out at Christmas.

Ok, here is Roy crowd surfing at Loxfest . It is slightly difficult to appreciate the polyester slacks from thsi angle but he confirmed to me they were 3.50 a pair in Matalan and he has several!

I still say the SWs probably have a far more attractive Roy in their heads than you all do in yours.

Given that they sent Shula to Brookfield to announce that she was on her way to LL to pick up (horsey) stuff it will be very odd if they've wasted the opportunity.
